Lifes Little Mysteries?

I disagree.

You load a for instane a 100K MS Word file on a PIII 1Ghz CPU with 512Mb of RAM running Windows 98SE with Word 97

Then you load the Same 100K MS Word file on a P4 3Ghz CPU with 1Gb of RAM running Windows XP with Word 2003

Then you load the same 100K MS Word file on a Intel i5 2nd Gen CPU with 3Gb of RAM running Windows 7 with Word 2010

The loading speed is almost the same or within half a second of each other, due to the fact that with newer software eg O/S & Word versions require more powerful PC's the actual process of loading the 100K file is the same ish no matter what spec your PC is.

SSDs aside the actual read speed from a harddrive has not improved drastically in quite some time. Seek time can actually be worse due to the larger disks we have now.

But the density is higher so overall they're faster.

As well as what's been said, some types of glue simply don't adhere to thier bottle, as the bottle material is not porous enough. This applies to wood glue/PVA, where the glue will harden on the plastic nozzle but simply flake off of it.

Stilton cheese is a mystery to me. I can only imagine some cheese was left to go horrifically mouldy and someone tasted it as part of a dare.

I've thought of one.

Why do blackberry phones take so damn long to boot up after so many years in the business?

That and eating eggs and drinking milk but my opinion is that humans saw animals do it so they did the same or it was just natural because of breast feeding... NO IDEA. :o

Other creatures eat the eggs of other species... it's not just us. If any other animals were clever enough they'd be milking cows and gulping it down too, they just can't. The question you should really ask is why wouldn't we? Why turn down such an abundant source of sustenance?

I know, hence my reasoning for witnessing such acts lead us to do so too.

We eat your eggs then we eat you attitude. Glorious humanity.

I'm not questioning the validity of it, it just ends up the same ol' quesion of what came first. :o

I'm not sure you're getting what I'm saying. I'm pretty sure we didn't see other animals doing it and decided to copy them :\

Pretty much all animals will eat anything they can, the fact is we can eat basically anything so we do. That's all there is to it really.
