Hey all - just ordered one of these - anyone know what oard the guys are using ? All I know is that its a Z68.

Thanks :D

Unfortunately unless someone has bought one then we can't know.

Why don't you try asking OcUK before they send out your order.

You probably should have asked the question of OcUK before ordering otherwise how do you know the board they use has the features you want.

+1,000 dont buy components that you dont know what they are, especially when they control all other components :p

I can tell what spec it is from the description but there are a few that fit the bill, it doesnt matter per se, just curious :)

Personally I'd want to know exactly what I was getting.

Z68 boards range from a little over £100 to nearly £300.

Some support SLI and Crossfire, some don't.

Some allow you to use the onboard GPU and some don't.

There are many differences between the different motherboards.

Which is why I asked before the order was completed :)

Its a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P which is fine. Supports crossfire if i wanted to go down that route, only 8x though.

Only because I suggested it :D

According to Gigabyte it does Crossfire and SLI.

GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3

All the P67 and Z68 boards only do 8x in SLI or Crossfire unless you buy a £300 board with Nvidia's NF200 chip.

Heh fair point ;)

I doubt I'll go crossfire tbh, had massive problems doing SLi in 2006, suppose theres a load more support for it now :)

From what i can gather the 8x 16x difference isnt massive anyway.

Hopefully my new rig will run BF3 just fine :D

Cheers :D
