***Final Fantasy XIII-2***

Well this new image certainly sheds some light on where the sequal's story is going, as in it's going to explore more of the mythology and with the fal'Cie goddess Etro being more involved.

After reading these, Final Fantasy XIII -Episode i-, XIII-2 Wiki, it does give some ideas. Looks like the theme of life and balance continues.

I do find it weird they decide to make a direct sequel to the worst received Final Fantasy of the main series.

If you want a good JRPG. You go with Atlus these days. Final Fantasy is no longer relevant.

Some of the reception to the game may be bad, but I still enjoyed it and it has sold a lot to warrant a sequel.

They've laid out a massive world and mythology in this game so this is another to expand upon it.

From what we know so far, this game is set a few years after the last, the Cocoon citizens have settled on Gran Pulse, Lightning has disappeared and is thought dead by her friends, but Serah doesn't believe it. Lightning seems to be in another dimension/realm which ties in more to do with the game world's mythology.

Using defeated creatures as another party member seems to be really interesting. Though I bet it is mostly limited to the little grunts as anything too powerful or near sub-boss might be a bit too much or game breaking.

Woohoo a jump button? I guess it makes avoiding things on-field easier. :p

I thought same as im sure they wont let you summon a boss into help you vs another boss or would be too easy!

I was perfectly happy with FF13 im more worried if they change it too much tbh

FFS! Thanks! :p

PS3 broke on chapter 11 so although I had an idea of how it was gonna end anyway, cheers!

Stop using the broken PS3 as an excuse you wouldn't have finished it anyway.

I'll save you the trouble and tell you what happens, they all have a massive orgy and die of aids.

Too many complaints about the linearity and lack of traditional RPG elements about it.

I was quite annoyed with some of it, but that still didn't stop me from enjoying the game.

Once you see why they had those design choices in retrospect, it does kind of make sense due to the flow and progression of the game and story itself.

Lack of towns, NPCs and interactivity? Well the characters were fugitives and constantly on the run. The Gran Pulse section could have easily been done better with more content, but I guess now we have this sequel to look forward to.

and lets not forget the knights summon from FF7...
But by the time you could get it you would be overpowered anyway and I think it was put in to defeat the Weapons.

A Dualcast KOTR with the other two using mimic meant you could go make a cuppa before you needed to input another command :p
