Mobility FIX (Use this only if you can't install the driver with the above package, extract this in the directory of the driver and install everything via setup.exe)

So... The driver date is a little bit older: May 12 but the build is 8.86, also Direct3D, 2D, and OpenGL are newer, right now I don't have time to test to see if it has the fixes contained in the 11.5b hotfix, but I can tell you one thing: MOUSE LAG IS FIXED that's the first driver for me that fix this damn bug, so maybe it is 11.6 or one of its builds.

Mobility support is included like the one from 11.5b, some card may fail at install, i will provide later a fix for it. (like in the 11.5b)

I need to go to bed now 05:00 AM here ****! Ehehe what you do when a new build comes to you. :)
See you guys tomorrow!

anyone know of the mouse lag issue the poster was referring to?

ie what was the exact symtoms. Hopefully i havent ordered a new mouse for nothing :(

mouse pointer freezes only for a fraction of a second in the top right hand corner, i myself have never had the issue but fair few have.

It's not 11.6. OpenCL and DirectX 11 rendering together still cause a hard lock on 6000 series cards, which AMD specifically said they would fix in 11.6.

Back to pushing my 1055T@4GHz to its limit just to run SVP :(

Been using it since yesterday, computer just froze on BFBC2, no overclock on the card.

I'm thinking it's either the card or the drivers :(

Ohh I dont use the ccc a all, and I generally have no issues.

Iv had 2 in the last 5 years. 10.6 caused blackscreens in BFBC2 with my 3870x2 and 11.3 caused my ram usage to escalate up to 3Gb (of nothing) after using Firefox.

It was turned on, yes, but everything was left at stock settings.

I've removed CCC all together now and will see if I can go without it.

I found that it caused my PC to freeze when I used it earlier today, booting into safe mode and un-installing it rectified the problem (for me anyways). I was also not playing with any sliders.

Been having problems with my drivers lately. As soon as I turn on my computer I get CCC host has stopped working. When I enter a game video freezes up then I have a 50/50 chance of it fixing itself. If it fixes itself can play the games for hours if not have to hard restart :/ . Had some other programs crash earlier. :/ as well. damn drivers.

You said you had some other programs crash as well which points to an unstable system which in turn can crash the drivers.

They only seem to crash while CCC is crashing though. However I have fixed that but CCC still crashes. I can't open it to see settings or anything :/ Don't know what i've done

in what app?

i've had no lockups using this driver

There's a little problem. As of Catalyst 11.5 there's a bug in 69xx drivers: when you're trying to use both OpenCL app and D3D11 app simultaneously the driver just crashes. In our case it's OpenCL-acceleration in SVP plus D3D11 render such as EVR working together.
We're talking with AMD support since February and now they seems to admit the bug.

Major things affected include SVP and folding@home, and it's definitely not fixed on this driver. It's supposed to be fixed in 11.6 though iirc

And all of the above is why I'm going Nvidia next upgrade. Can't be dealing with all these driver woes anymore. Every time a new Cat is released I have to google it to see what issues it's causing, and then decide if I want to download it or stick with the old. That just shouldn't be the case.

You can goggle & find the same with NV drivers as well, there will always be some people with an issue, there is no perfect driver that no one has an issue with.

As said, both sides have their issues. Afterall, older nVidia drivers could actually blow up the GTX 590.
