2k reliable car for motorway commute

I'm not saying it's not what she shouldn't do, I'm saying it's not comparable.
You have not found a cheaper deal using the same criteria.
For all intents and purposes I have. At least the same cover is provided. The fact that it's achieved by adding additional cover for other drives is immaterial.

What you are claiming is that if a shop has a TV for sale for £500 with a 1 year warranty, and I find it for £350 with a 3 year warranty, it's not the same therefore I can't claim it's a cheaper deal for a comparable product.

In fact I'm completely unable to fathom the point of your post in terms of what value it adds :p Plus I just don't get what makes it incomparable.

No but it demonstrates what the OP should do - add both parents. Providing one of them doesnt have a drink drive ban and the other isn't a BBC News presenter it isn't going to be hugely different and will have a good effect.

Thanks, have already added two parents the mileage a year affects the premium too 11k. Did a search with bell and got £2140 which is much better. Thank you very much for your help unfortunately the car we wanted was sold earlier today but so we're back to square one.

Many thanks for your help.

edit: is the £2140 quoted the one off premium of can it be split over ten payments. I guess if we were to pay over 10 months it'd cost more?

How many miles are you going to do? I would figure as low a realistically feasible estimate as possible, then subtract a few k. There is no registration of the mileage at the start of the policy and there is no way to track the distance covered under the policy.

Update: Bought a 04 Yaris, had a relative who's a mechanic have a look a it and test drove it and he's happy with it. Picking it up on Saturday just looking into cheap Sat Navs and iPhone radio transmitters now.

Thanks again for your words of advice.
