Flowers to impress a girl

You sound like a lovely fella. :/ Does nobody have honour any more? You don't sniff around other people's partners. Period.

Cheers, but Id disagree, if he wants to chase someone else's girlfriend and he can win her off him somehow then fair play to him, I personally wouldnt want a girl that would leave someone for me, you tend to leave relationships how you enter them but if she's just a girlfriend and nothing more, she's fair game. Period.

Did an ex of yours run off with another bloke?
No! Someone kept pestering my other half and wouldn't take no for an answer, we had words over the phone. By chance (there is a God) we ran into each other at a rave believe it or not lol and then I proceeded to chase him with a bow saw :).

Many guys think they "own" their girlfriend but she is free to do as she wishes. This happens all the time in the real world, although perhaps not in the idealistic OcUK realm where someone decrees "very seriously" that they would smash happily someone's face into concrete trying it on with his girlfriend... :o

Thats as maybe but I doubt her wishes include receiving flowers from a guy she has met twice when she is in a long term relationship.

I did say earlier that sending flowers is a bad idea...

That sounds a bit soppy. It seems the knee jerk reaction was "she has a boyfriend so don't bother". Unfortunately in the real world, new relationships cross over with old ones and girls change their minds all the time.

Although I agree flowers are not the way to go...

This

But if you do want to send flowers, do a yell.com search for a florist close to her house. Call them and ask them to deliver it.

It will cost less and you will get a better bunch of flowers with that personal service.

Wow, the best post in the thread so far. Much appreciated :)

This is one of the best threads I have read in a long time.

The only reason your probably sending them to her work is because in your "small talk" she said "I work at....." Thank god she didnt tell you her home address for this reason. Her lad has more than every right to smack you to be honest.

Im sure everybody would have been more understanding say if you had been talking quite a bit, met up more than twice and she wasnt happy in the relationship then maybe show her that you like her. At the end of the day it wasnt working then but to do this after meeting twice with little small talk is just going to end in disaster.

Get to know her better. If shes happy just leave her alone. If shes not happy in it you know her better and can send something a little bit better than flowers.

Someone I used to date really like J-Lo's perfume. I bought her a bottle that was less than a tenner. She loved it. You spend £20 on flowers it shows you have just went for the first thing youve thought of. No thought in it what so ever.

Really sad when a 20 year old knows more than some people to be honest.

Sending flowers to females should only be for the following occasions:
  1. Birthday
  2. Valentines
  3. Anniversary
  4. Sorry!

Appropriate action in your case, if you do find her attractive - is to smash her pasty. Quite rigorously.

If you try it on with my girlfriend, you must accept the consequences. She is taken. Regardless of whether you think that because we're not married that doesn't make it 'real' or whatever. That's **** you make up to justify your actions. We have decided that we want to be together, that's it. If try it on, and you don't realise that we're together, fine, I'll tell you leave off. If you continue to try it on, or try it on with full knowledge, I'll warn you away. I'll make it very clear what will happen.

If you persist, then, well, you've been warned. By continuing despite being warned about the consequences of continuing, you have entered into a contractual agreement. You have willingly accepted the consequences, which may very well be your face being applied with much force to concrete.

You were warned! :)

And there rests my case, your Honour!
