So guys what do you think to these.
Atrix

For the last 4 years i have been in the Crackberry camp but they have let be down a few times and think its time for a change.

Has anyone got one and what do you think day to day use

Cheers guys.

The Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Sensation are the two best Android phones out now.

Provided you're willing to pay the standard price for a top handset, these are the only two worth looking at currently.

Kool, right will take a look at these, just want the best out atm. Its going to have to last 12/14mths.

Just want to be told whats the best:) never look at phones till its upgrade time :)

The SGS 2 has the best hardware, the sensation in some people's opinion is nicer to hold in the hand and looks a little more high quality because the case is particially made of aluminium and also some can't live without HTC's sense interface.

I will read that thread but just to say what i want

Speed:
Wifi:
GPS:
Multi emails
But whats top of the list is usability, I mean need to use it as a laptop booking appointments all the normal crap. Dont need or want fancy games and crap thats why i havnt looked at the Iphone.
Thats why i had the blackberry for the last 4 years cos it did what i wanted but tbh for the last 12mths it did nothing but cut me off and fall over.

...and I'm guessing batterylife.

SGS2/Atrix/Sensation will do all of those with ease. Have a go with all of them in the shops then decide.

Speed: About even, just edged by the Galaxy S II, but close.
Wifi: Again, even. The Galaxy S II wifi can be a bit poor but the Sensation has some reported issues. Neither should worry you really though.
GPS: Even.
Multi emails: Even.
Usability: Sensation. It is quite a lot nicer out of the box and HTC Sense is certainly popular for this reason.

When you say 'I mean need to use it as a laptop booking appointments all the normal crap', can you clarify what you mean? :p

I'm assuming you need to book appointments with it, not literally use it as a laptop (like the Atrix can be used).

Just to add a few other points -

Battery life - Galaxy S II, but not a massive difference all round.
Camera/Video - Galaxy S II, but again, not a huge difference.
Screen - Galaxy S II but for the things you mentioned the slightly higher Sensation res may appeal to you.
Phone capability - About even.

As kona said, go and try them. As you don't know much about them just give them all a go and see which one jumps out at you.

The phone is what i use to organize all my life :) so need something thats going to be easy to add and remind me through the hours day to day. I know that all these phones are going to do this but looking for ppl that have these phones and give me the bad points :) Like the wife has a HTC and when you put the thing to your ear like you would do with the house phone your ear hits the end call button. stuff like that.

It sounds like your wife's phone has a problem with the proximity sensor. When you put your phone near your ear the screen should switch off pretty quickly so that doesn't happen.

The downsides to them (in short) are -

Atrix - Ugly, nasty software overlay. Very average battery considering its size. Very expensive if you want accessories.

Galaxy S II - Some people think it looks and feels horrible as its very light and made of plastic. Fairly ugly software overlay. Wifi is absolutely awful with some routers, not sure why.

Sensation - Battery isn't great. May suffer from a death grip issue (so your wifi/signal strength is bad if you are holding the phone a certain way). Screen is useless in direct sunlight.

As I said, you really do need to try them. Its tricky to compare and describe them vaguely.

I shall provide you with a (fairly good) review for each -

Thankyou,Will take a look at these.

Was looking last night and watching youtube and think the HTC is looking fav so far,but will go and have a hands on this Sat.

Thanks for all the help and tips guys.

I would personally get a GS 2, better battery life than the HTC sensation, much better screen overall (apart from the sharpness), faster, a lot more storage etc.

Only some people are having the wifi issue and I am sure that Samsung will release an update in order to fix that issue soon.

IMO, I love the lightness of the GS 2 and the build quality is perfectly fine as well.

Plus the GPS locks on very quickly and is accurate compared to most other android mobiles that I have tried out, don't know what the sensation is like though.
