Cool cheers for that seems i was getting latency and ping mixed up, im kinda suprised though that i dont really get any lag considering i only have a mer 2mb connection. Anyone reccomend any good uk based rush servers? i tend to prefer rush over any other mode

Just got my new Razer Black Widow keyboard, the keys are a touch to the right compared to the Saitek Eclipse II, but it feels very responsive, just gotta get used to it.

no vip being added i wait just like you lot :p

i dont mind cause at least bfbc2 has the cue function also at least when i get in i know it will be busy and fun ;)

some great games last night will be on at 7pm to help start it off . giz a hand guys cause starting it off is the important bit . cheers.

im always finding BC2 servers are laggy, at first 2-5 mins of the round my latency is around 300 then it drops between 180-240, i have read somewhere that you need to go into regedit and amend the network throttling to 0xfffffff hexidecimal, which does improve the connection, also disabling sound gives you extra FPS. I have to say this is one of buggiest multiplayers i have ever played. The most frustrating is the hitreg and rubberbanding i.e. if you in a big battle and you shoot someone in the back the next 10 secs the game does something in slowmo and then your dead, it's like a delay between the server and the player. Makes sense why BFBC2 is not in the top10 games being played on steam is because the servers are ****e.

Just done a fresh install of this game and the same routine, i'll be playing with no probs, all of a sudden its like a lag spike kicks in, the game freezes the audio fades out then dumped to desktop...

Search on the internet to disable network throttling in regedit, it works!

dave1983 i think your cpu isnt going to help a lot this game wants a fast cpu for the best of it and a quad.

ive played on various dualcores and quads and quad is what i say is minimum .

people will say yeah yeah thats not what they say well you continue to do so :p

also peoples connections are a large part of laggyness rubber banding .

true when you just join a server you will often get a little period of lag. ive found this on various servers set ups.

playing through lag and adjusting . think best way to judge is get a sniper and test. on really laggy or laggyish servers you can pull the shot across . as long as you judge this and adjust youll be fine . if you are a rager and start squeeling lag you have no help for you :D

my friend does this all time cause he will only play on the lowest ping servers

this is bad because you will not get accustomed to slight lag bouts (all bfbc2 server get this !) so it magnify s it by ten cause your not used to playing in lag. like said if you adjust your aim to compensate you should be fine.

ea and pb

these are big factors

some servers may have not rebooted since a update not be running pb or other problems because of pb. ea have had backbone structure problems since day one with this game ! cant any of you remember when it was down at hrs for a time ea back end down.

graphics settings on mp

this can be a biggy and a lot run to high while ingame on mp .
you want constant high fps while in gun fights and in smoke and heavy forest. some of the effects in bf are a fps raper . lower your settings in bf so you get no lower than 60fps constantly and you should be fine in heavy fighting.

no good having 100 odd fps with settings maxxed in no action then getting in a warzone and have 30 fps in mid fire fight.

steam friends and overlays

turn these off these can cause lag when joining and in game

overclocks

if you can i would recommend playing with no overclocks unless you know there 100 percent stable.

happy gaming :D

Heres a vid of it doing its crashing routine

You can still hear the audio of the rpg reload even after its frozen (through headphones at least)
