New car you will love or hate it, it a Saab 2.8T (300PS) Aero XWD

Back looks ok, sides alright, fronts urgh. Worst thing about Saab's are the interiors, that dash is horrid and the wheel would remind me i'm driving what looks like some Vauxhall partsbin special on wheels.

How many have they sold of these? I think I've seen more Ferraris than these on the M4 stretch I do daily. Looks like a huge amount of car for your money :)

Love it but why 2 saab badges on the front?

they always fade :)

Love the car :)

Same engine and AWD system as the insignia VXR, but cost more, has less, looks worse and is slower.
Can't see the logic myself but I bet it's fun to drive so enjoy it :)

Thats because its a different car aimed at a different buyer, and i got to tell you i aint seen a Vauxhall in 20 years drove as well as a Saab if mile munching on the motorway is your thing, the intended audience of Saab.

For example i wouldnt have an Insignia VXR if it was free with wheatabix but i'd happily drive one of those Saabs every day.

That sounds pretty damning, surely it can't be that straight forward.

Of course its not that straight forward, its exactly the same as the brain dead people that say an X type is a mondeo in a frock.

Not that No1 Dave is brain dead im just saying.

Indeed. I think that Saab has a certain executive class about it, an Insignia (in any form) does not.

Very pricey for a SAAB. Since GM dropped SAAB our local GM (Holden) no longer imports any. I like SAAB but for this price and the competition you have to really really love the car or want to be unique to buy one.

Whilst I like the old 900 my favourite SAAB was the 9000.

Hmm old news many Car manufactors use each others parts bin to cut costs or didn`t you know that

The Volkswagen Group W12 engine is used in some high-end luxury models:
Audi A8L W12[3]
Bentley Continental GT
Bentley Continental Flying Spur[4][5]
Spyker C12 LaTurbie
Spyker C12 Zagato
Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris (prototype version only)
Volkswagen Phaeton W12[6]
Volkswagen Touareg W12
Volkswagen GTI W12-650 (prototype only)

Should we say a Bentley is no less a car cause it uses a base Volkswagen engine, do some homework you will be surprised at where parts end up. Plus i only paid £25,000 for it against £30,000 for the insignia and i have far more toys for comfort for a 0.3 slower to 60 and at Kerb Weight, 1810kg its about the same weight with half the comfort or gagets, also already agreed that at full list price it is not worth the money against the competition on saying that though to spec the others to the same level you would be looking at £46,000 upwards.

Dont get what you mean did you read all the post slowly and properly, just used as an example of how manufactors share parts not what the end results are..............Could have used BMW 7 parts in the old Rolls etc.......

Im agreeing with you, sorry should have put a smiley on the end :)

Sorry you can read it two ways.

No worries i think you bought a great car that can in no way be compared to a Vauxhall Insignia, and over the years seeing these comparisons has just got on my wick.

Iv got this one mate that cracks the same joke about here comes Mark in his VW that wasnt funny the first time or the 27th time, if his wife wasnt my wifes mate he would have had a poke in the eye years ago, anyway never mind.
