FTTC Farnborough - Date

Woohoo ! Cabinet has appeared about half a mile from my house in Farnborough so fingers crossed for the end of this month ! :)

Need it bad as want SKY anytime plus which isn't happening on my current speed for sure..

Whereabouts in Farnborough are you? I'm down Trunk Road and haven't spotted any new cabinets yet :(

I'm off Sandy Lane, there's a new cabinet appeared in the lane alongside the brook opposite Guillemont School. Not sure what area it covers though...
 
I'm in Bath, our exchange has been put back until end of June, was December, then March, engineer blames the cold weather we had in December had delayed things.:(

I believe my local cabinet is at the end of Broadhurst, which is about 300m (as the crow flies) from my house. I'm not holding my breath though :(
 
I took a walk to the station on Saturday via Minley Road and it seems that all the existing cabinets have a new one for company.

Still no sign of a new one at the end of Broadhurst though. I bet I miss out on this :(
 
If your down Trunk Road what on earth are you doing with BT ???? I live in Farnborough (hawley lane area) and on virgin its SPOT ON i used to live down ST Johns road and the Virgin there was also perfect. you can have 100mbps with virgin in your area that will still kill any future offerings from BT

I can't get Virgin cable unfortunately.
 
Odd ! u could try calling them as the checker when i moved into my place said no but the birgin guy said when i called up to cancel as i was moving house said we can cover u there no problems at all and then updated the checker. im on 50meg
 
I've got both :p Virgin 100MB and Sky

Only got Sky BB though so I can get anytime plus, so better speeds than the miserley 1MB I get at the moment will be welcomed just for that !

£35 a month without the phone line, only £10 more than 50Mb but yeah, only worth it if you can connect over wired and want faster download of stuffz.

Plus the bragging rights of course ;)
 
im all wired up appart from phone ipad and netbooks but im on a great package
landline with unlimited calls
XL TV V+HD
50 meg tinterwot

£42 a month :D

LOL well i was in a grump with them and called them up saying i want to leave, spoke to some guy who obviously wanted to keep me as a customer as he offered me a better deal than i was on 10mb xl tv, and basically i kept saying no im going to sky and in the end offered me that deal to stay (of course signing me up to a 12 month contract but how could i say no lol. So ended up with that deal was quite happy with it tbh,
