Which game to buy Portal 2 or Duke Nukem Forever ???

Am going buy one these games of steam today...

Which one would you buy Portal 2 or Duke Nukem Forever ?
(PS.They both cost £29.99 on steam)


Or should i wait till they go into one of steam sales ?
 
Portal 2 is the better game by far. I'd 100% of the time go for that over Duke Nukem.
 
Depends.

Portal: Subtle humour, 1st person puzzler. Emphasis on thinking outside the box and character interaction.

Duke: In your face humour. 1st person kill-a-thon. Emphasis on Duke loving himself and the ladies whilst shooting alient pig people.

Both very different games but both very fun. Its what type of game you fancy playing as they are different experiences.

To be honest with you I wouldn't say Portal 2 is worth £30, and I have no idea about Duke.

I'd wait for the sales.

I've got a lot out each so far. If I had to pick one, Portal would edge it.

Why not, I thought it was a really long game compared to first one, I thought it had everything the first game had and a whole lot more, and I thought it was one of the best games thats ever been invented...everyones seems to love it...so many rubbish games come out all the time at £40 and upwards, portal 2 is only £18.88 now on amazon for PC.

Graphics/gameplay = 10/10 - Also probably most peoples GOTY.

Took me a week to complete it, played like anything from 4-6 hours each day.
 
Portal2 is a 95%+ game.

DNF is a 10-20% game its terrible even at budget price it would be poor but at least you have not lost much money on it. Full price is an insult to every PC gamer in the world!!!

Yep a lot :( sad to say. How they can market this trash as full price is going to cause a backlash..............most of the reviews on metacritic are in the generous 40-50% range on the 360 version PC will not fair any better.

It just lacked the originality and inventinveness that Portal 1 did. I felt like they made too much of a spectacle of everything, and that the puzzles were like an afterthought, where you have to look for the one tiny place where you can actually stick a portal down to solve it. I like to feel I've beaten a puzzle by thinking it through and experimenting with the game mechanics, rather than just by searching for grey wall.

I did like the ending very much, and it is a good game. Worth £30 just for the single player though? No.
 
I haven't played either yet, but if Portal 2 is anything like the first game, I wouldn't bother. The first game was incredibly easy and very short. It takes all of 10 seconds to figure out how to progress past each "puzzle"

felt a lot like a big tech demo, much like Half Life 2
