Just checked and I've gone through a full set of tyres in just 73 days. At £380 a set, that's a disgusting £5.20 a day on tyres, arghhh.

Time to get a cheap diesel daily driver!!!

T1-R's wouldn't go anywhere on a 7" rim. That does include 2 trackdays and 2 days at the strip. Forgot to say, they're Federal 595 RS-R.. Similar to R888's

Totally diesel time. I mean who would have thought an Mx-5 costs so much to run, it's not like you are using soft compound low mileage performance orientated tyres or someth...oh wait.

I meant with 320hp, 195 width T1-R's would be usless. They'll just wheelspin their hearts out and the power is impossible to put down. There's no point in that at all.

Then I'll need wider wheels. 15" rims wider than 7" are pretty rare / expensive, and go hand in hand with tyre prices that double 195 or 205 prices.

Surely with careful driving you're not going to light up tyres that easily?
