Just had a pop at the Fiat Race..

Needed some tweaking/tuning

Used glass lightening to get to 1000Kg, and got the power to 65BHP using whatever air/exhaust mod gave us this.

Added all the clutch/flywheel tat that doesn't affect power/weight..

Then fully adjustable gearbox and suspension
Final drive increased to give 93 MPH top speed
Suspension tweaked
Front Toe -0.15
Rear Toe -0.00
Front/Rear Camber (-)0.3
Ride height Lowered to just about 20% of the slider
Front Arb 1, Rear 4 (gives nice turn in)

I think that was about it, it's mainly about the lines through the corners.. you need to aim for about 2:03.500's or less, my last lap was 2:03.1xx and I won by 5 seconds or so..

Flat out through the first chicanes, sweep wide into the tunnel, drop to fourth, and hold about 62 mid corner dropping to 57-58MPH by the time you reach the top, brake early and again a wide line into the tight right, should be hitting 53MPH mid corner, 3rd or 4th is OK, then flat out round the next corner, into the tunnel, feather the throttle to hold 64MPH as you turn in early..

The thing for the corners is to hang out really wide, brake early and really nail the apex..

Finally did it and here are some settings.You need to be hitting 1.03.800 each lap ideally to come in first place, my fastest lap of this run was 1.02.672. Driving needs to be smooth and easy on the power on the way out to avoid any wheel slippage.
Is there any way to upload the GT5 replay data to youtube or anything?

Unless you have a capture card then nope, not currently. What you can do is export the replay data, transfer that to a usb stick and then to your pc, then archive it and upload to megaupload or somewhere for others to download. They should be able to load the replay in their own game to watch then.
 
suburu event is killing me down to 1.5 seconds behind first place been at these events all day LOL

*EDIT* Now got gold on all 3 seasonals, they were a bloody good challenge hope they give us some of these every so often.

F.A.O dyson i ended up doing them all with the DS3 over a space of about 5 hours (tweaking settings etc etc) might give them a go with the wheel tomorrow night when kids are asleep as everytime i get the wheel out the little one thinks it's hers LOL...

oh the cars i got for the ticket for first place were a team oreca viper and a 908 HDI FAP

Got these settings from a mate, worked for me :)

Fiat 500... Do all weight reductions on it, then add 147kg ballast to position 50, Sports air filter and low rpm turbo, then wind the power limiter down to get 65bhp, set LSD to initial torque 10, Acceleration 12 and Braking 5, Ride height -10 and -15, spring rate 4.0 and 3.5, Damp Ext 2 and 3, Compression 1 and 2, anti roll 1 and 3, camber 1.5 and 0.8, toe 0 and 0.25...

Same deal with the Lotus, full weight reduction then add ballast, add turbo etc and wind power down, you still get the benefit of the turbo...

A slightly simpler approach to the 11R challenge

Bits added
- Sports ECU
- Body Rigidity
- Fully Customisable Gearbox
- Fully Customisable Suspension

Then settings
- ECU turned down to give 194BHP
- Gearbox Final Gear up to Max (6.000)
Suspension..
-14 Height -12
1 Anti Rollbar 3
0.6 Camber 2.4
-015 Toe 0.00

That was good enough to finish in 5:16.xxx and low 1.03's (dipping into 102's for some laps).

Again, it's more about learning the circuit, I used the stock car to learn, until my lap times where low 1:05's, then did the upgrades.

I'll upload a video to the tube just to show the basic lines I used if that helps

[edit] - Bad compression from youtube, but it just about suffices!

I haven't had a chance to try the new seasonal yet, been occupied grinding money from De La Sarthe and buying heaps of cars, almost upto 500 now. Managed to get a lap time of 4:11.1 so far

Not sure about anyone else but i wish they would make some more le mans type cars that are standard to premium especially the toyota gt one car :) loved that car in forza .

Yes, it has happend 3 times. I was ment to post this yesterday but got held up watching the Formula 1.

First time I did De La Sarthe and there was no music in the background during the lap. Finished and just kept going at 50mph

Second time there was music in the background this time, all seemed fine but I noticed sector times weren't flashing on the screen. Crossed the line and no "FINISH" on the screen, again goes idle at 50mph.

3rd time, no sector time popped up again, this time rather than waiting to finish the lap and have the game basically hang I pressed Start and quit the race.

In case you're wondering, if you press start after you finish the lap and your running idle at 50mph nothing pops up, the game pauses but no menu appears.

It seems the only way to prevent this is know where the sectors are and pay attention, if no sector time pops up, quit the race. If no music in background, quit the race.
 
Just had another go at doing the expert event races and managed to come first in the Fiat and the Elise (both mildly tuned) but the Impreza one is terrible, I was less than half a second behind him across the finish :mad: too much understeer! :o

Cant say i have encountered that , i cant believe how bad my b-spec driver is LOL and have to install upgrades so the car is a fair bit better than the competition :o .
