Ok it did not like having XMP enabled at all! It wouldn't post and just kept rebooting (like when I enable OC Genie). I had to turn it off via the PSU and reset the CMOS .
Nothing, other than overclock the stick of 10666 (if it is 10666) - or it will ensure you have the correct settings for your memory (if the stick is 12800).
Worst that can happen is that it will fail to post - i.e. your reboots...
But it's looking increasingly like you have 2 odd sticks.
Your two sticks of ram are not the same. I know I am stating the obvious but that is the reason for your problem The one has a XMP profile and the other does not. So when you enable the Profile 1 in bios the sticks go into a state of choas. One is set to the pre-programmed profile and the other is profile less. Result FAIL. Please contact OCUK to arrange a RMA. There is no way that you should have two different SPD (ram bios) on a matched set of ram.
Well the new memory arrived today, both sticks have XMP profiles and the same part number and the system POSTs when I enable XMP & OC Genie!
With OC Genue, its currently running at 4.2GHz/1.36-1.38V, are those voltages ok? I've never done overclocking before but they seem quite high?
