I've been brought up the same way so understand your stance on these kind of situations. But you have to admit there are some very nasty creatures out there, the likes of me and you would be fish food without the support from the police to step in.
 
I don't see where this discussion on "grassing" even came from. He was wrongly accused of something so if anything someone else "grassed" him up. I swear people on here don't even read the thread anymore.

On topic, that's insane that they won't investigate just because it's on Facebook, especially since he's just come out prison and he has a reason to dislike your brother. Might be worth taking it up with them again especially since the articles linked suggest that they SHOULD be looking into it.

no but im not about to put my kneck on the line for someone who more than likely couldnt give a crap about me, if i saw someone beeing beat up etc in the streets sure ill try to help but im not about to hang around waiting to give police statements or to apear as a witness

Problem is the middle class snobbery on this board assuming everyone does everything by the book.
 
Detective Toaster strikes again.

denby both my brother and mother have received death threats in the past because of his affiliations to unionist parties (I grew up in the rural west of Ireland, they don't take kindly to them types round there), we did what any normal person would do, ensure they can't contact you (we changed numbers and went unlisted) then moved on. Police wouldn't have helped us, most they'd have gotten was a smack on the wrists.
