Given the dramatic rate at which emissions are increasing at the moment, we're unlikely to be skating on the Thames in the near future.
Well for starters that's not true, the sun is overdue for some pretty excessive sunspot activity. That may be the cause of a whole host of new problems, but it's got little to go with climate change.
But then, why should i bother with you, kwerk?
Which both the scientists in question and the less sensationalist of the media outlets you quoted have said won't happen. Did you not read your own links or did you just hope nobody else would?
Ah cmon Marky, we all know these forums wouldn't be half as much fun without these threadsWhat?
Ohhh right... Kwerk.
I find it funny that you've listed Fox as a reputable sauce!
Always worth reminding people that Fox specifically won a legal case to state that their news is protected free speech and as such doesn't have to be technically true.
Want to put some money on that?
I remember hearing about that, pretty shocking and more than a little misleading considering the channel has 'news' in it's title.Always worth reminding people that Fox specifically won a legal case to state that their news is protected free speech and as such doesn't have to be technically true.
I would. The thames is a lot more free flowing than in the 'little ice age' a few hundred years ago.
One of the old bridges used to restrict the flow which made it easier to freeze over. Now sin ce that bridge waa removed it is not very likely to happen at all, even if we get very very cold
Well technically it's not news then is it![]()
It froze in 1963 just fine afaik
Ah cmon Marky, we all know these forums wouldn't be half as much fun without these threads.
A mini ice age sounds cool.
