Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

We've been looking into reports where the BIOS isn't visible and have been in contact with MSI and AMD USA who have stated that a f/w fix from them will be made available. From experience, they tend to take forever as they have backlogs of fixes/update requests from numerous OEMs but we are on their case. The problems are mainly due to these displays being Dual-Link [MB and GPU interaction isn't as streamlined as it is with Single Link]. Here are our results:

Bugger. 5850 here which explains a lot. What are you going to do to fix this hazro?
We are working with ATI and AMD who have agreed to a gpu f/w update but haven't provided a definite date as to when it will be made available. We will keep users updated on this as we're keen on resolving this.

Happens on my XFX 5870 as well, infact it makes my whole machine reboot over and over when I have the monitor plugged in when trying to boot, its ok once the machine has booted up without the monitor plugged in though

That's interesting, as I have that card without any issues. Is yours this particular one? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-147-XF

No mine is the one before this model -

XFX ATI Radeon HD 5870 "AVP Edition" 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I cant link to a picture without breaking the rules but if u google that your find the model I have. Very annoying issue thats for sure.

Thing is Hazro just don't reply to my mails at all :(

can't we just use the "AnyDVD HD" software to get around the lack of HDCP support?

If you're prepared to pay for it. The price is a bit stiff considering we have already paid for HDCP (those who ordered before they changed the specs). Passkey is a bit cheaper and the 30 day trial works fine. I'm hoping Hazro can fix something before that runs out.

Has anyone used a console on the WA? How is the upscaling? I think I'm going to have to RMA my WC and am tempted to get a refund and buy the WA so I can use my PS3 with it to. I was thinking setting the out put to 720 instead of 1080 would be a direct 1:2 upscale and might actually look better?

Has anyone measured the power draw of the monitors?

Looks like mine draws up to 90W from the socket which seems pretty abnormal considering TFT Central reports half of the usage once calibrated.

I might got my readings wrong, though.

EDIT: 60W on average, perhaps slightly less. Looks about right now.

One of my screens (HZ30Wi) may be starting to die... :(

It's got an intermittent fault, where I get coloured artifacts all over the screen (usually blue, but I've seen red, yellow and green). The effect seems similar to what you see when a cable is a little lose, yet the cables are fitted snugly, and adjusting the connection doesn't seem to have any effect.

The screen will often work fine for hours, before artifacts will begin to flash up. Once they've started showing, within a few minutes they're constant. Just turning off the screen doesn't seem to have an effect - I need to completely power it down for a minute or so, and then it's usually back to normal (might take two or three tried). This started a couple of weeks ago, but it it getting a lot more frequent (happens once or twice a night now). At first I thought it might be due to overheating, but it seems like it occurs most frequently within the first half hour or so of screen activity.

Hazro - anything else I can do / test? I tried plugging the screen into a different connector in the GPU, and tried a different cable, but no luck. The other two HZ30Wi screens are working perfectly within the same setup.

I hope it isn't RMA-time for this screen, but it seems that it might be.

Hi everyone

I am from germany and i search a display with 27 inch which is glossy. So, everyone told me, that a TN Panel isn`t good at 27 inch and also that 1080p is too less for this size. The only displays, that has 27 inch and ips are the Dell U2711 but this one has no led.

Now I found the Hazro Series in the internet. And from what i see they seem to be perfect. I could get an A Version in germany, 2 days used with a little shadow one the display (2 pixels long) for about 550 Euros. But in the test of tftcentral, they say, the a Model has more input-lag then the WC Version but still way more than the Dellu2711.

So, some of you posted, that they have no ghsoting or other problems in Games and Movies, but I can't see, if you are writing about the WA or the WC display. It would be nice if anyone who has buyed this display can give me a little review.

Also i read (don't know where) that the display becomes a lot of pixel problems after a use of some days. Is this true?

best regards
