I was like you and quite fancied a go on a xbox360 for Forza 3 etc... I however didn't sell the PS3 but got a 360 anyhow and sold it once I got bored of it, was quite surprised when you sold your PS3.... Save your pennies and come back to the dark side.. lol

We're all looking forward to BF3 on the PS3, one of the few shooters I'd want to play online as few family members love BF games.. Getting on PS3, as hardly anyone I know got a rig powerful enough to really do it justice..

Even my rig could struggle DX11 triple screen... PS3 will do just fine.

I guess I could try and save up. I've got a few PC parts that need selling too. :)

Just watched a couple of trailers, and now I don't feel quite so excited. From what I saw it looked very CoD like:(

Was hoping more for Battlefield 2.5 I think...

After trying to play bfbc2 today and entering rounds of pure base rape, i hope they sort something out to prevent it on this, maps like atamaka desert, where one team will take both choppers after spawn raping, and the keep circling the base just pointless, and it always seems to be level 50's

today i couldnt even spawn on laguna alta without instant death, one guy obviously new exactly where the spawn was and knifed me twice even before i could move .

any console gamers planning on getting this ?

If so what platform are you planning on buying it on ?

I'm slightly worried however that there was no demonstration version available of the Xbox360 at E3. There was a PS3 version being shown behind closed doors.

The fact that PS3 development is ahead of 360 makes me think the PS3 is the platform to go for, but then again i prefer the 360 controller and Xbox Live.

I would always choose 360 over PS3 for a fps simply because the PS3 pad is shockingly bad.

I'll be getting it on pc, MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... ahem!!

Yeah it'll be two different games, one will be Bad Company 2.5, the other will be DX11 Triple Screen Eyefinity, sweet-jesus-waptapes-is-amazing Battlefield 3 goodness.

Ps3 as thats all i have :D

I see this is another game with a Pre Order only select Retailer exclusive tax. Personally it disincentivises me to want to buy any edition of the game.

ill be getting for the xbox, used to love this when there was few ocukers to play with in squads as it should be played.

now its a bit of a graveyard where you end up with numpties in your team but still fun :)

Battlefield 3's console version get its TV Debut tonight on Late Night Live with Jimmy Fallon

And they are showing the PS3 version.

PS3 is obviously the lead console platform. It was the only version they were showing at E3, and its the version they think will look best on TV.

Yeah it'll be two different games, one will be Bad Company 2.5, the other will be DX11 Triple Screen Eyefinity, sweet-jesus-waptapes-is-amazing Battlefield 3 goodness.

I personally don't think the difference is going to be that much. Unless you have a top end card and can afford to run it maxed out with tons of AA and AF, its not going to look much different when you're sat 7 feet away from your TV on the console.

You can definitely see a difference between the console version and what they've been showing up till now (suped up PC version)

Still looks okay though

They've already said the Physical warfare pack is only a time exclusive, and it will unlock for everyone later on, its only the Back to karkand stuff people will have to buy.

Back to Karkand isnt out at launch either :( that would have been the first map i played, but we have to wait.

Does this have the same good old EA, we will give you some game modes if you buy our over priced Limited Edition pack?

Not sure, all I've read about is this:

DICE has cleared up any confusion surrounding some of the currently announced DLC and pre-order content for Battlefield 3. This includes the Physical Warfare Pack and the Back to Karkand expansion. Karl Magnus Troedsson, general manager, DICE, attempted to explain things on the Battlefield 3 blog.

The Physical Warfare Pack is a pre-order exclusive for retailers, with GAME and gamestation carrying the promotion in the UK. This is a timed exclusive, with the content being unlocked for free for all players later in the year.

The second announced DLC, the Back to Karkand DLC, is coming post launch and is a similar size and scope to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion. Anyone who pre-orders Battlefield 3 will be able to play Back to Karkand when it's released at no extra cost. Players who don't pre-order the game will be able to get hold of the Back to Kakand DLC at the same time, but at an additional cost.

Back to Karkand has Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman, and Sharqi Peninsula maps and the Physical Warfare Pack as far as I know is just some early access to weapons.
