£720 lighter ;)

My old man used to be a roofer - just used to climb up and tile away, no harness or any of this and was fine as long as there was a scaffolding around the outside. Now I see they have to be on a line and allsorts, no wonder it costs a fortune to get any work done nowadays.

This. I am pretty sure they have to put scaffolding up to put a tv aerial on your chimney nowadays.

Ahh but do you get good banter out of dead weights?

:p

LOL

I did employ a chap called (name escapes me) and he we just used all day long to foot the ladder.

He quit after 2 months, as he said the work is too hard and his feet hurt at the end of the day. Nearly wet myself when he came out with that!

Classic. :p

Let me guess your a window cleaner? :D

:p i am indeed.

I used to be traditional.

Company was called Perfection Reflection. Which i thought was cool. 2007 i had a major fall. Landed on a frozen lawn and cracked my back. Sold my round and got an office job. Had a bad back ever since. Water Fed Poles (WFP) has come down in price, so thought hey why not re start. Since i started. NO BAD BACK!

I used to be an excellent window cleaner and made good money out of it. Got some very good contracts. Best was doing the Glass on the batman set at cardington hangers :D

Best window cleaning story I've heard is that Dude who used to be in Brookside called Sinbad, Apparently he was named after a real window cleaner that only wiped a circle leaving all the windows looking like portholes. :p

Not delivered until 11th September. Will get Hovis pic then.

In the meantime have a snapshot of the boring specification confirmation

LOL!

I have had some real cowboys working for me. I used to check up on work, and send them a text "windows on the ship look good" lol. Other people can really kill your reputation.

The funniest story or instance was when i first started.

My first day went like this.

First house, last window came down the ladder and got clawed by a cat as i stepped on it :(

Forgot to strap ladders down, drove off and noticed they wobbled. Slammed on the brakes and lost the ladder lol

Broke a tile, while customer was out. Stuck an umbrella in the hole, customer came back and went

And the best was til last.

I got number 24/26 mixed up. One house i could walk on the roof, the other i couldnt ;) You can see where this is going.

My mate Ross, had seen me and stopped as i walking over the roof. He said that don't look safe. I was like NAH all good, watch. I bounced on the roof, with ladders in hand and went straight through it. He came into the garage and all he could was my legs dangling.

WHAT A first day :D
