Players limit, dedicated servers, maps, extended clan options, console, DirectX 11 visuals, higher resolution, support for multiple monitors and a range of controllers, proper 3D support, exclusive DLC, regular patches, no auto-aim, adjustable FOV, multi-core support, proper SLI/Crossfire scaling.

That's only a few from the top of my head :p

Apart from autoaim, all of those are merely optional extras that don't affect the actual gameplay.

If I play on a low end PC, on a 32 player map, with 1 monitor, on my own, then what is the difference besides I'm using a mouse/keyboard?

:edit: I get what you're saying, the PC version has so much more added that will make it a much more enjoyable experience, but the actual game won't be really any different.

If you compare BF2 on PC to the Xbox version, you'll begin to understand the difference between an actual difference in the game, and it simply being delivered on a different platform. This is what I believe they are clarifying in that article.

well the CG is used to destroy light structures like houses etc to kill infantry because it's HESH instead of a shaped one.

plus insurgents, rebels and paramilitaries the world over use rpg 7's on infantry.
Yep, ive heard of the rpg being used in vietnam, the vc/nva would fire them into the treeline, by hitting the branches it turned the wood into shrapnel. Quite hard for surgeons to work on wounds, as wood didnt show up well on xrays.

Haven't Dice suggested that the faultline trailers were not running on max settings as there isn't a pc powerful enough available yet to run it well. If that's the
case then I would say no you won't be able to max it out :p

(who only score points through giving each other medic or ammo packs - based upon your signature images). Massive lol! Face! I'm on a boat mother ******!!!!!

I have played BC2 on 360 and PC (got to level 18 on 360 but I'm at 30 on PC and still going) and they are completely different. The way people play is totally different. Very few matches I played on the 360 felt like people were going for the objectives, nobody was throwing down medkits or ammo EVER. Yes there are PC servers where you get this I am sure but I always make sure I pick a server whiere I know I'm going to get decent teamplay and I know some of the guys on there.

So even if they look dont different they will play totally differently.

I have no doubt that what you're saying will absolutely be the case with BF3, my point was merely that the point made by the article in question is most likely to be true.

True. I thought that the PS3 version looked damned good...for a console game. Certainly one of the best looking to date. Also in that article it said the engine is designed to run smooth on PS3, which when I first read I assumed meant "scaled back to achieve a decent FPS" but maybe thats just the cynic in me.

I thought the PS3 footage looked pretty average visually, where as the PC footage looked jaw-dropping. Was quite a big difference imo.
