Dungeon Siege 3

Just played the demo and I don't understand why it's called Dungeon Seige 3, its nothing like the original.

To me this is a poor and I mean poor copy of DA2. Very disappointed.
 
Poor camera angles and control.
Its been designed with Controller in mind, I had to disconnect my Xbox Controller for it to let me use K/M and it felt worse with k/m!
Too few enemies on screen at once.
Oh and camera sucks.
 
Yeah, the demo is awful on the M+K, put it onto my xbox controller and instantly felt 50x better and was fairly enjoyable.
 
I have Dungeon Siege 2 but I've never gotten too far into it, is it a good game? I plan on downloading this demo when my new rigs up and running though, looks okay to me.
 
VERY disappointing...:mad: was in the mood for a good new dungeon crawler but got a consolised POS that by the looks of it may not even have random loot? and from what I have read the multi-player is a joke. plays more like fable than games like dungeon siege or titan quest etc.
 
just wanted to say i hate the loot system, whats with the spring loaded chests? items jump out of the chest and you have to click on a tiny pixel of it to pick it up.

Also the menu/inventory is gigantic, its like playing on a 640x480 res. :/

I was a DS1+2 fan but this is just ridiculous

Menu's are absolutely massive lol.

Playing this with a friend, and the only decent co-op game that isn't a shooter that has been out for quite a while, camera is complete ass but still quite fun none the less and sort of challenging if you don't dodge exploit single bosses it seems.
 
I think its pretty good, but im stuck at the moment, I feel people are being a bit too harsh, its basically a great looking diablo rip off, plays best with a xbox controller.

Pretty much sums up my feeling. The camera angles are really bad imo.

I just can't justify 30 quid on it at the moment.
 
Everybody go and buy yourselves Drakensang or its sequal. Find out that games can really be like Baldurs Gate.

I forgot about this game, is it really like Baldurs Gate? Loved that game. Also the sequel - is it available in the uk?

What? Are we talking about the same game here? Its got one of the most indepth charactor building systems... well bar none, including d&d.

Anyway there is no console baldurs gate, so your argument is invalid. Your hair is probably also a bird.
Drakensang is a gem, would be a shame to skip it.

I just got the second, it plays as good as the first. If i were you id start with the first one.

Bushmins I have a few questions if you don't mind :)

I've read that playing as a vunerable character such as a mage leads to you being automatically targetted by mobs with no way to deter them, is this correct?

Do you have any noobs tips for someone that knows next to nothing about the game?

Oh and one last thing, I downloaded the demo and it looks awful - everything set to max although the demo doesn't have the high res textures, do they make that much difference?
