How much do you actually download ?

Whats the best way of seeing how much you have downloaded? cant really see anything in my router that states it
What router do you have?

Sometimes your isp gives you the option of seeing how much you've downloaded from your account section ;)

Im on sky broadband unlimited so it wont show how much i have actually downloaded as i guess it doesn't matter to them. Would be nice to know tho so if i ever was to move to a capped package i know id be ok

I'm a bit surprised at the amount everyone seems to be getting through, I doubt we download more than 10-20GB although we may start downloading a bit more now the SKY box is hooked up to the broadband for the on demand stuff.

Can you only hook your SKY box up if you have their broadband?

From my server which downloads mostly Usenet content and various other traffic, around 80-120GB a month, thats not including my laptop which downloads Usenet and standard HTTP downloads, and my HTPC which mainly streams from Iplayer etc if I need to, then in the house I also have another 2 laptops which are mainly browsing and song downloading, and another PC. And then of course the 4 mobile wireless traffic.

Tested it myself, Doesn't work.. pathetic who the **** would want SKY broadband... ***Fully star out all swearwords***

Especially since they throttle from 5pm which is prime TV watching time?

Thats because you have to enable "anytime+" in your mysky account. Whats the problem with Sky Broadband? Unless you are on connect?

Oh an edit that means your on Connect then, As the everyday lite & unlimited packages have no throttling whatsoever.

I would actually be willing to pay like 10quid a month for the on-demand service, just stupid they only allow SKY IP's.

I don't think it is stupid at all.

Point in case your post above. Imagine Sky getting phone calls because some BT internet user can't stream off anytime+ or someone has gone over their limits that their ISP puts out & Sky get the stick for it....

It makes perfect sense.

Yes but they are going to allow it soon, just holding off to see how many BB customers they can gather.

Currently paying them 57quid a month, missing features.
