A lot of console lovers that play FPS think theres some competition between them and PC when PC has better graphics and controls.

Quite frankly I find it weird/insane that anybody would ever attempt or contemplate playing an FPS with a joypad lol...its almost as funny as the time I heard of this guy who was aiming using a numpad to aim...

I guess though if people have never got into an FPS with keyboard and mouse in the first place and the first thing they ever used was a joypad I can understand that, but at the same time, feel sorry for them.

Would be awesome if we could play games like counter strike and BC2 against consoles and then we'd own em so badly.

Not sure if this video has been posted, I know I've seen the actual multiplayer spolier vid but this guy actually freezes the action and does some analysis - not been through all the posts so apologies if it's already been shown.

This console/pc graphics issue wasn't helped when one of the developers was asked at e3 "so will the console graphics look as good as the pc's" to which the answer was "of course, it will look just as good"

Some people just don't have any problem about lying on a major scale.

btw: PC currently has more people playing and are in game servers than both the consoles.

Noticed on Kotaku that this post was taken the wrong way. The PC had more players than either console not more than both consoles combined. You'll need to work to beat both consoles combined effort

over all games though the pc destroys all 3 consoles combined :p

The pc market is just so diverse that it's rare for a very large group to concentrate into one game like the consoles.

Just watched the multiplayer trailer, relieved to see the whole thing is not set in Iraq. I was afraid the whole game would be desert maps with no Russians to play as. I like playing as the Russians, they have the coolest audio :D

It's not about players though, it's about sales. And if BC2 had 10 times more unit's sold to a particular console, then that's better business unless you think you can claw the money back to PC players buying DLC.

Where the hell is the logic in this?

If BC2 has more players on PC, then it has more sales on PC! Especially since console games are much more vulnerable to second-hand market. Plus a good part of PC sales comes from digital downloads, no doubt.

PC games are cheaper though so that doesn't rule out EA earning more money on any of the consoles but we know that Sony and Microsoft have large overheads themselves.

Going by the interest here there seems to be more of a buzz about the PC version than the console version (although I suppose we're a heavily PC focused community). All that needs to happen now is for that buzz to change into sales.

Were the devs saying that the "Back to Karkand" stuff would be on the same level as the Vietnam expansion? If that were the case then it would probably be worth pre-ordering.

yeah i mean it's not like the pc gamers will be giving EA money every single month for the next few years for the thousands of servers is it?

Oh wait......

EA don't make a penny of the servers, why would they.

yes they do.

Ea get a cut of the profits of all ranked servers. (and probbaly a smaller cut from the others)

You think they just provide software and support to server companies for free and take a huge loss in the process?

They do actually, as it will be the same as with BC2, you will rent the servers, they will not release the kit to allow you to set one up yourself.

EA will get a cut off the cost for any ranked servers, as mentioned above.

"Enemy Snaiperaaa!!!"

I hate playing as Russians and/or Americans. We get it America you would have loved a cold war escalation, sadly here in Europe we don't share those sentiments. WW3 pls, NATO vs China! (with the option to play as any NATO country :D)
