I thought it would be easier to just ask what is thought to be a solid/good 1TB hd for not more than £50. I need to add an internal hd to my desktop pc and the hd will be set up for all my Steam games.

TY in advance

I can recommend this one from personal experience:

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM

Fast and quiet.

This one is a bit cheaper until Wednesday morning:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM

I have no experience of it but it should be similar to the F3.

This one is cheaper still if you don't mind a slower 5,900RPM drive:

Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM

It depends on what you want the drive for. Speed or just storage.

The samsung F1 is the same price but they're an old design so I wouldn't bother.

Don't worry about drives being SATA2 or SATA3. It makes no difference for HDD's.

Where do you get £6 from?

The most expensive 1TB drive I listed is £43.99 and the WD 2TB is £55.99.

I know it's been a while since I was at school but that's £12 difference.
