Awesome, wanted some sort of a hat for my soldier :D

Reaction seems rather negative at the moment despite them releasing such a well supported game for free but I can see the point some people are making about hackers so we'll see how this pans out. I can't say that hats particularly ruined the game for me and there was a lot of out cry then so I'll reserve my judgement.
 
Can't wait to play more. I tend to stick to the Hampshire Heavies servers. They're a great bunch, even if most of them are far better at the game than me.
 
Since when was it not free to pay? Or was it just that one time payment of buying the game? Because i'm not sure if i should be annoyed that i payed for it and now its free or happy that i never payed a subscription fee.
 
I'd much rather they made it £2.50 or £5

Still, this will hopefully give the servers a big boost in numbers. In my opinion, it's the greatest multiplayer game ever released
 
Was good game when i purchased on release got worse and worse valve messed up a good little game with all there constant changes and stupid added crap. Kind of annoys me i spent money on something only for it to become something inferior.

Don't stock server still exist? Or you could always go play the Xbox version :p
 
Valve forums naturally full of people demanding money back, or complaining they just bought it, things like that. How much was it before it went free out of curiosity?
 
Thing is there's always going to be a point where it goes from paid to free and someone somewhere is going to get shafted.

I'm happy with this update, and it's clear the mann co. store is raking money in for valve, and I think we can trust they will keep an eye on this (one of their best show piece games) rather than just leaving it alone to generate money.

Installed it, played it, wont play it again.

What a truly awful game. A console FPS would feel more responsive and faster.

As a long term veteran of TF and TFC, I knew TF2 was a joke as I tried it when it first came out, but some years down the line it's far, far worse.

It's well polished visually in every department and for that Valve deserve a lot of credit, but in terms of actual game play, map design, weapon design, balance and authenticity it's diabolical!
