Intel 320 Series 300GB worth it? or Crucial M4 / OCZ Vertex 3 ?

Seems expensive, was thinking of getting a Sandiforce SSD but seem to have problems with firmware? failures?

The Intel has 5 year warranty, or would you go for a Crucial M4 256GB?

Would I really notice any difference from:

Read: Up to 270MB/sec - Write: Up to 205MB/sec - Intel 320 Series 300GB - £409.99 inc VAT
Sequential Read (up to): 415MB/sec (SATA 6Gb/s) - Sequential Write (up to): 260MB/sec (SATA 6Gb/s) - Crucial RealSSD M4 256GB - £359.99 inc VAT
Maximum Read: 550MB/sec - Maximum Write: 520MB/sec - OCZ Vertex 3 240GB - £394.99 inc VAT

Crucial's M4 seems to be generally the fastest, although the Vertex 3 is fastest at sequential reads/writes for compressible data. The M4 is also the cheapest of the big-brand current-gen SSDs.

However, although I don't think there's been as many problems with the M4 as there has been with the Agility/Vertex/Force 3s, I imagine the Intel probably still has lower failure rates.

Intel would be my choice, nothing is slower than something that does not work. Reliability over speed for me.

+1

OP, intel would be my choice (and it was), i valued the warranty, reported reliability of intel drives and in this case the extra space the 300gb drive gives me.

also, can your mobo handle sataIII devices?

Hi, I am switching to Intel Z68 chipset/I5 2500k, so should be okay.

I was leaning towards the Intel 320, I'm just wondering if I would even notice difference between that and anything faster in real term.
