Scotland wants it's independance so I say let them have it. I believe England does pump a lot of money into Scotland so it would be a good thing for England to save the pennies.
If Scotland wants Scotland for themselves that is.
What figures are these?Actually figures release recently show Scotland puts 10% into UK coffers and takes 9%. I wonder why the UK government dont want to lose Scotland just yet.
What figures are these?
What figures are these?
I believe it includes oil revenues, which don't actually belong to Scotland...
Or the UK at all, they're privately owned.
The revenue is generated from Taxation.
Was in Daily Mail this week.
The tax revenue wouldn't go to Scotland which is what I mean. If they were given independence they would get a similar percentage as to the percentage of national debt.
Why wouldn't it?
A credible source then.
If that is true, and as long as only Scotland - not the UK - is responsible for the debt, whats the problem?
Borrow the right to use the currency? Sure, have to pay for it though.
What do you mean by that?
If Scotland leaves the union, what right does the country have to use the GBP?
I'm not sure that you understand how that works...
why would you be allowed to use the GBP? you would have to use your own money or the euro.
how come all the pro scottish independant people think they will start with a nice clean slate and all of the perks they currently get from beeing members of the UK.
want to keep the GBP currency
dont want any share of the debt.
expect the UK military to protect them.
think all the oil in the north sea will be theres.
etc
