For some reason my phone doesn't ring when people call, but whenever I test it from my house phone it rings. Any idea why this is happening? And is there a way to set a song as a text message alert instead of the default ones. I've missed several calls today because of this.

Also when it does ring, the ringtone is low then increases in loudness, any way to disable it so it just rings at the highest volume?

Trying to push framework-res.apk to the phone via ADB and it tells me it's a read-only file system. How do I make it read-write, I'm pretty shoddy with ADB at the moment.
 
just installed lite'n'ing mod, it's really good, love the colour scheme, seems loads quicker too... i know I said i would wait till 2.3.4 but apparently that's been delayed, so wth right? ;)

Don't know how to use ADB but why don't you just install root explorer and use that? Or I use android commander that has a far easier interface to adb, much like windows explorer.

i do only have one calendar (which i would like to keep, its just appointments)

just noticed it isnt the calendar name that is on the phone

ok i made another test callendar online and that syncs perfectly to my phone, but not to my computer,

the existing calendar syncs to my computer but not to my phone

..hmmmmmm

Don't know if you got it all sorted yet paul, but this is what I did.
Installed both 'Google Calendar' and 'GO Contacts' to my desktop pc. I didn't have a gmail account or at least one I remembered, so I created a new one. It's the Gmail account that syncs with outlook and my phone.



And my phone settings:

Settings/Accounts and sync:


Calendar/Settings/Calendars:
 
Anyone know where i can find the list of numbers which let you carry out various phone tests like for the screen and sound etc?

no, i dont have it sorted yet

the problem i have is that my existing calendar is synced with a few other computers so i dont want to lose it or start again, i want to find a way to just get it on the phone

i notice that on my calendar list on my phone, it says my calender but it does not list my calendar underneath it, this i would guess is the problem

i dont know how to get it to add it ?

(if i make a new calendar that shows up in the list automatically, just not my existing one)
 
It's back and perfect, oh how I missed it!

Very fast turn around too, used my Phone Insurance included with my Bank of Scotland account, sent away on Thu and got it back on Thu, delivered to my work :) (Which I forgot I asked them to do, nice surprise lol)

Now I need to catch up with what's what?!

What's the ROM of choice... I like the idea of Standard but better, rooted, etc!

The little number notifications have gone from my short cuts that run along the bottom of the screen...anyone know a reason for this?..checked the status in my email and text setting but they seem to be on for the notifications bar along the top, but not on the icons themselves.

Could you post a screenshot of the left hand panel of your google calendar web page (like the one Khaaan! posted)? Also might be worth trying a different calendar app on the phone to see if it appears (I've used this one: https://market.android.com/details?id=netgenius.bizcal&feature=search_result)

It is a very good rom but i get a yellow triangle on boot up, is that normal?

Yes perfectly normal you need to flash a stock kernel link below if you are on the latest version of Litening you need the KF2 stock kernel link below.

This is the thread explaining it but its the same just load the kernel as a pda and flash as posted in this thread, it will get rid of the yellow triangle.
