Anything I can do? Sue Spar?

I don't normally put on any cream, but then again I don't sit in the sun - and usually wear a hat / top if i'm walking somewhere. Hope OP is okay.

Read the thread Ray, I admitted negligence. I also said the suing comment was sarcasm but I don't want others making the same mistake so a letter of complaint or along similar lines was my objective.

I was using factor 15 Loreal(I think) stuff for nearly a week before using the Spar stuff and didn't burn to any real extent, despite sun bathing.

I also think you're greatly overestimating how organised this company is :p

:)

Use a sun bed to get a base long before you go on holiday.

Use factor 15 or so oil

This has worked for me for years, you have to be manly as hell to not worry about your appearance when you are all oiled up though, some people think its homosexual behaviour.

Sorry what!? Tanning oil does not protect your skin, it's meant to bronze you by essentially burning it easier...

Also SPF 15 does not mean you can have 15 minutes in the sun, what kind of stupidity is that? :p

Factors mean it gives your skin x times it's natural protection. So factor 15 will mean it gives you 15 times your natural skin protection, which I'm guessing doesn't mean 15 times as long (or most people could just apply it in the morning and be fine), there's probably something related to e^x there.

Factor 15 is fine in most situations (i've never needed more and I'm fair), however I hate spending hours laying out in the sun, it's boring as sin and uncomfortable. I'll spend hours in the sun doing stuff like walking and working, with a T-Shirt on..

Also just but Boots own brand or similar. It doesn't need to be the most expensive (Boots has 5* UVA protection as well) and works fine if you know how to use it.

That specific brand does contain an SPF value of 15 but it also helps give a better colour to your tan, it also makes you sexy and hell and shiny with all the oil. Fantastic for fun times with girls in comparison with sun cream.

This would be fine if sun didn't accelerate the ageing and de-beautification of the skin.

Good one, dumbass

Ah yes, the age old science of de-beautification. Next time I am in Miami I will be sure to tell all the beautiful people to get out of the sun lest their beauty be de-beautification rendering them ugly at the hands of the cruel cruel sun, for being tanned is such a fleeting form of sexy.

Nothing sexier than having skin with more wrinkles than your leather sofa.

I too post pictures of 65+ year old women to demonstrate the sun causing a severe lack of beauty. I am sure it has nothing at all to do with her age and the sun is to blame for her bingo wings and body fat as well.

All the urgency from the doctor and hospital yesterday and now I have to wait circa 3 weeks for results, jeez :p

It'll probably turn out nothing but better to be safe. Those who are checking their own: I have 2 moles which are somewhat worrying, one in particular has become very asymmetrical, quite blotchy with ever so slightly darker patches. The other has become lighter in the centre, darker on the outside and beginning to lose exterior definition. Both on my leg.

Edit; Also, I don't drink or smoke and train highly. So, if it is something, just goes to show you don't have to be in poor health.

You don't seriously think that's normal?

I've got friends who live in Feurta so been there many times... very windy place and it's easy to understand why the OP didn't realise he was burning.

The clouds can be out, the wind blowing so much you feel cool, even chilly sometimes but you persevere top off and blam you're burnt... surprised someone didn't warn you tbh.

The locals use http://www.p20.co.uk/ .... after some severe scepticism I decided to give it a go (basically you apply it once in a day and can swim, beach etc and not have to reapply) and wow.... amazing.. couldn't recommend it enough
