'Apologies for photo quality, damn iPhone!'

I think no one gives a damn if you have a $3000 lens when you can't even take a decent picture.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Browse the photography forums for a few minutes and you'll understand why you sound like a bit of an idiot. He's one of the best togs on this site!

Also I'm not sure if you're a photographer but they get excited and take a keen interest in the kit people use to take photos. And I don't think Ray really needs to seek approval, he should already know he's a fantastic photographer and I'm sure his many clients would agree.

Is it that Raymond Limp at it again with his shallow DoF?
What are you on about that it doesn't matter if 1 out of 10 tomatoes are in focus? What's the bloody point in having 10 tomatoes then?
(P.S I didn't count if there was 10 tomatoes, that photo is just plain awful)

Remember when you got your 35mm 1.4 you went to all the photography forums to brag? I think no one gives a damn if you have a $3000 lens when you can't even take a decent picture.
You're problem is you only want to hear people praise you but refuse to accept criticism.

Whoa whoa whoa, where is the hostility coming from?

Raymond Limp ???

The point having 10 tomatoes is I can eat them. How many I choose to have in focus in MY prerogative. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

As for the 35L, no i don't but i probably did, so what? Everyone brag about their latest purchase in camera gear. I can go find a dozen in the next 2 minutes. Why are you picking on me?

I never claimed that to be a great photo ...
I agree, it's not a great shot by any means

Do you only pick what you want to read and ignore the rest of what i wrote?

And i never insulted you, why are you insulting me? What is your problem ?

Who are you?

If you don't like it then don't go out in public. There is no law (or anything wrong with) taking candid/natural portraits of people in a public place. And besides, such photographs are 99% of the time the most favoured when shared online or in magazines because of that.

Also the majority of people don't really mind anyway and more often than none it sparks some conversation afterwards especially if you shoot someone with an interesting face or character.

This thread is one massive clichè.

The whole forum is one massive cliche at the moment, ranging from overused 'memes' to lynching parties.

To commemorate this mass cerebral haemorrhaging I shall refer to all product photographers as feedos.

Blimey, some people are proper menstrual for Ray today.

I don't see Ray being rude or discounting anyones opinion, just saying that he takes pictures how he pleases.

For what its worth, I think Ray goes a bit crazy with his DOF at times, but if I had a tenth of his talent, I'd be happy with it.

He can shoot however he pleases - if you want to dictate it, then pay him. I'm sure he'll offer you a good deal on a package :p

Looking at your photos you are really ****, wouldn't hire you for money. Contact me and I will give you some pointers aka : ****** oc.
The guy actually left email address, mobile number and his forum name.

I never bothered to contact him and I find it weird that people actually make an effort to insult me. I have no idea what I ever done to them? I've never met these people!

The only thing bad about the iPhone camera is its low light capabilities, it's pretty useless at taking shots in the dark of computer cases with LEDs, have a look at my build log for proof.

Spelling mistakes from the iPhone, however, should be inexcusable. I just wrote a full water-cooling guide using it. Took me bloody ages though lol :D

I'd be interested in seeing his "work" :p

Lol! OK that example posted is very overdone and to be honest does look carp - pretty much nothing is sharp - must have been all the way down to f1.4. But to be fair I don't see it so bad (or bad at all) in most of his other shots, or in general. Ahleckz is rather exaggerating the 'problem' for a rant if you ask me.

Oh yeah - the OP. I see the photo thing all the time, but surprised nobody has mentioned the similar 'sorry for the spelling - posting from iphone'. I see that that a lot in work emails etc, which simply leads me to conclude that an iphone must have a crap user interface and/or the worlds dumbest auto-correcting spell checker. So I dont think I'll be getting an iphone then.

This should be in the Apple fanboys thread:p

I love the way people mention fanboys, it's so ironic... You are taking the mick out of someone for what they have decided to purchase :p no one is defending their purchase.

If anything it has been derailed into pure photography :p
