Steam Summer Sale 2011

It takes a couple of years but most people eventually realise that they should stop buying games cos they're cheap and play the ones they already have ><

*in most circumstances

It has kind of happened for me. I've only bought Just Cause 2 in the sale so far (even though i've been tempted by Magicka and SMB). I probably won't bother with any others tbh. Other than those, the last game i bought was The Witcher 2 and before that Crysis 2 i think.

Though that is only really because i started playing all the games i bought in the last Steam sale:p

Recently played Metro 2033 (£3 in steam sale) FEAR and FEAR 2 (both in steam sales) and Civ 4 (£4 in steam sale). The way things are going i don't think i will be buying many more games for a while. Only Skyrim and Deus Ex

giving me transaction errors all over the place all i wanna do is purcahase a damn game haha, battle field 2 for £5 its killing me! wont let me pay via paypal cos apparently my accounts limited, ever since i got a payment in $ :/ and wont me pay on any of my cards either nor will it let me direct bank transfer :s somethings going on here.. or is it steam ?

I dont think even all my games are listed there too....i think some more on these forums have double this value lol.(ah just seen some posted, crazy haha)

I wouldn't read too heavily into that site, it's notoriously bad for calculating cost, especially around packs and counting them more than once. :p

"Got GTA? That's only available in the GTA classics pack right? + £20,
Got GTA2? That's only available in the GTA classics pack right? + £20"

At least they've fixed the cost of The Lost Coast now. That used to be +£140 every time. :o

Just Magicka today, and didntr get anything on the previous one...temp[ted by a couple of the ohers, but really need to watch what im spending in case something epic comes up :p

For those who bought Bad Company 2, and redeemed the CD key on Origin to get the Digital Deluxe Edition: It appears you need an EA Store activation code to use Vietnam.

So, it looks like I'll be buying Vietnam from Steam!

Was gona get just cause 2 other day but was out all day yesterday but then i think, would i really play it much. And i thought nah probs not as only game i play these days is World of Tanks.

Still, it is nice to stock up on games cos u never know u might not have the net one day for awhile so worth having some titles u can look forward to playing when that day comes.

Well im hoping steams offline thing does work when the time comes lol.

I treat my steam library more like a shop window than anything else these days. If I'm bored I just load it up, have a look around and play whatever takes my fancy. Must be about 2 dozen games I haven't played on there.

Is Fable 3 worth £15, been fancy it for a while.

I was going to get it myself as I enjoyed Fable 1, but all the reviews of Fable 3 say it is complete rubish, with an interface that is hard to use and gameplay that just is no where near as good as Fable 1. So personally I'm waiting untill it is <£5 before I buy it.
