Steam Summer Sale 2011

@master X

I don't think you can, people here said this a few pages back.

So bloody annoyed, EA still sell vietnam for a tenner when steam sells BC2+vietnam for less than the price EA charge for the expansion! argh! wish you could mix non steam BC2 with Steam vietnam key

Posted in bc2 thread also, double posting it to emphasise my pain :(

I think the same chap quoted himself when someone asked the same question.

Only problem I've encountered with these sales is that 15 other games that I have all want to update themselves now as well. Civilization IV + Expansions, Day of Defeat Source, Portal, Half Life 2 + Episodes to name a few. Why couldn't they update before? Infact I don't have Portal or Half Life 2 installed so I don't know why they're trying to update.

i want to buy the BFBC2 vietnam and specact kit, but i need a steam copy of BFBC2, i already have a retail copy. if i get the steam version, will i be able to pass my retail copy along to a friend without any problems?

The Sims 3 pack is an incredibly good deal for all of that content. If I didn't have them all on retail/origin I would have bought the pack on Steam.

Wish I hadn't boughts Sims 3 + Two expansions couple weeks ago, could have had the lot for same price.. Oh well, thats how it goes :rolleyes:

You should be able to. If you uninstall it you can de-authorize it, so it can be installed and played on another computer.

The key is just used to register a new account.

Give your friend the retail disk to install from and your Steam copy's key for when he creates an account.

Then download your copy through steam and login to your old account. You can then activate any DLC keys from within your own account iirc.

Today Bioshock 2 is on sale for £3.49. I'm tempted, but is it too scary??

(Still haven't returned to complete Dead Space)

Lol, theres nothing scary about Bioshock. The Little Sisters could be creepy in the first game but in the second they barely say anything.

I think you'll be fine. I found Dead Space to be quite a bit more of a nerve jangling game.

Finally finished dowloading BFBC2 at about 3 in the morning, just got through the options page before starting the SP campaign, when I fell asleep at my desk. :D
