Is it rude NOT to place a conveyor belt divider after your shopping?

I never notice if people do or dont or partculary care who puts it there by the time the food reaches the till, Im suprised people actually get anal over such things

Yesterday when buying groceries from a supermarket, the guy in front stuck the till closed sign after his shopping. I felt like beating him to a pulp.

What annoys me is when you put a Divider down in front of the person and they just give you a look like " You should've done that for me anyway " and don't say thankyou.

i don't expect someone to do it so i wouldn't consider it rude, but i always place the divider for others.

The way I see it, you may as well, you've just put all that shopping on the thing, one more light thing isn't gonna hurt and makes everybody's life easier including your own!
