TROLLY RAGE!!

Also pallets reaaaaaaaally shouldn't be on the floor during opening hours tbh.
I can live with the trolleys and pallets being on the shop floor, not being able to buy what I want because the shelves are empty is more frustrating. As Van Hellseek says, the problem is the bad attitude.

Anybody having problems with opening bags, pull the handles identically apart slightly stretching the plastic, releases the vacuum between the plastic and makes it a breeze to open... works 8/10 times though

Has for this thread i cant really add anymore, i work in Wilkos and sympathise with everything said, but when i shop i'm a bit of a swine and usually say something, got into a few arguments in the past...

One thing that does annoy me is my Mother though, she always goes on about nearly everything thats said in this thread, then proceeds to walk around the supermarket like she owns it getting in everyones way, barging past people that are in her way and then sighing when someone gets in her way... we used to argue so much about it, i don't go shopping with her anymore and neither does my stepdad, he stops in the car.

I don't know where to look with all these pretty girls coming in shopping with really short shorts on... especially if they are with a parent, if tough not to just stand there and stare for a bit!

Haha you think that's bad try working in a supermarket :D

Perks of the job! :D

I do... that's what I mean, I just stand there looking out the window or some where trying not to stare, with some mother just looking at me ever 5 seconds to see what I keep glancing at. :D

The only annoyance is:

"Please put item in bagging area... unknown item in bagging area, please remove your item... *crashes* please wait for assistance".

On the plus side, the self-service machines are great for getting revenge on those annoying morons who decide to stand too close, practically forcing you out the way before you've had a chance to pay for your goods rather than waiting a few feet away like anyone else with manners.

I had an impatient middle-aged lady (I don't know why it's always middle-aged women I have problems with?) do this to me on a work-break in a Tesco express about a month ago. As I turned to pick something up, I nearly tripped over her she had decided to assert herself by standing so close it was uncomfortable - the 'please wait here' sign was a good few feet away.

As I obviously found her impatience and lack of civility rather rude I decided that I'd be a **** back. After I'd paid and packed all my goods (I did it extra slowly) I 'accidently' rescanned an item before and put my bag back down on the weights sending the till into a small fit. The staff were too busy dealing with the other customers to come and void it off so after all her pushing and impatience she was stuck there.

Revenge is sweet.

Your quiet an offensive person.
Amazing I bet if it was left to you, you would ban them from the stores with some crap about losing weight or some other crap.

Is that wrong? Maybe just ban them from the chocolate and sweets aisle... Perhaps they should just get veggies and then have to earn the right to eat junk food...

24 hour store, now what? :p
Though seriously, you can only fit so much on the shelves while keeping a large selection of products to suit everyone's needs. Its only natural that something will run out, and need to be restocked. I'm sure you'd much rather walk around a pallet rather than have to go without stuff because the shelves aren't stocked.

Re iviv, I always go into auto-mode. I was flexied from 2 till 5:15 today, I literally can not remember anything that happened in those hours. Then when I came to start my normal shift at 5:45 I felt like I had just come into work and only just woke up. :D And the new touch screens are shockingly bad, so many times I'll press 6 and it comes up with 2 on the screen... such a pain!

You've got those as well, now? We had them fitted at the beginning of last month... ugh. They're way faster, which is nice, but overall I think I'm actually going slower. Especially with things like typing barcodes in manually. Previously you could just have your hand on the keys, you knew where they were so you could just type it in without looking over there, reading off the code. But now you have to look between the two to make sure you're hitting the right buttons. We just got given the 'listen and fix' stuff, so I'm sending an email off for that to comment on it.

On the bright side, awesome pay rise! *Hi-5*

Better yet, make it like one of those bouncey castle runs where you're lubed up and attached to a bungee cord.

quite a lot of things I agree with in this thread.
I work in a small store so we dont get the weekly shop crowd.
That said we have a lot of customers come in, who go to buy deals and refuse to read the point of sale infront of it that says what the offer is, contains and excludes.
Then get angry when told they have the wrong product.

Some people are just lucky we are paid to be nice and not tell them the truth, that they cannot read and obviously shouldn't be allowed out of their home unsupervised.
