Busy roundabout, I could have gone sooner, I didn't, I hesitated, woman in a 911 behind me was looking right, not ahead...

5 weeks after having my replacement rear bumper resprayed... :(

how was the poor porsche?

not exactly going to be a cheap repair for the insurance that one i'd imagine.

Probably just as well, the resprayed colour looks completely different to the tailgate :p

(that aside, hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction)

Actually the Porsche was unscathed, not a mark on it. The front of her car was just low enough to push the plastic in on my bumper, I've popped the dent out but the paint has cracked and chipped.

The plan is not to go though insurance as she was very polite and apologetic and offered to cover the repairwork - I've had the damaged assessed by a local bodyshop and I'll be sending her a copy of the quote (approx £200 for bumper off + respray )

See thats what im saying you get a quality woman in a Porsche when they crash into you, they cough up, better by design :) My wife does it 4 times a year :D

Don't forget to add on the cost of a replacement car while yours is getting the work done.

Stuff the Porsche, its owner should learn to look in the direction it is travelling in!

It obviously isn't the OP's fault, but we've all done it. As we're rolling towards a roundabout looking at the traffic, expecting the person in front to go only for them to just stop dead.

I've certainly done it before and it's times like these when i'm happy i have decent tyres/brakes!

i did it to a woman in an audi. she got out of her car and said ''you went into the back of me'' to which i replied ''i didn't'' as i was staring down at my smashed headlight.
