Indicating on motorways and what it means.

If there's one thing worse than idiots who do not know how to drive, it's the knuckle dragging ****ers who try to police them. Get a life.

So I'm to sit behind them, waiting for a gap in the outside lane, or to undertake them?

I think if you condone the behaviour, you're the knuckle dragging ****er. :)

You sit & wait. Its not a ****ing race!

Accidents happen when the red mist descends. Flashing lights causes distractions - I've seen a following car flash the one infront, he looks in the mirror & ploughs into the stopping van infront of him, the flasher piled up his arse too! - You don't want to be that person now do you?

The roads are full of all sorts of drivers, good, bad ,inept - even Stobart drivers! ;)

Make allowances for all, chill the **** out & we may all get there eventually, its better than not at all.

Does anyone else shout "STAY!" to other cars indicating that they are about to launch themselves blindly into your lane? I do it to people who look like they're about to lurch out of junctions in front of me too.

Fair play, some good points there. I am a lot more chilled out than I used to be these days, and I am trying to be a cool headed driver - just the red mist does still decend sometimes.

I bet you see some really stupid things on the road. :p

*Raises hand*.

I find myself shouting something along those lines at them.

Haha the mental image of this made me lol for real :D

Tbh that would work with me. I am looking to pull out in front of the person who would stop for a gnat in the road, not to play trollface with the guy who accelerates towards me pointing violently and shouting "STAY!" loud enough for me to hear it over my combined harvester :p

It changed largely when people stopped having the manners to let people out.

Pretty much this. Can get quite frustrating trying to pull out to overtake into a lane full of nose to tail BMW's, obviously in a much bigger and more important rush than the rest of us :p

When you guys are on a 3 lane road and someone is in the middle lane but there is next to no traffic around (early morning, late evenings etc) what do you do? On the assumption that due to it being quiet you are in the left hand lane.

Generally speaking the person in the middle lane will be doing a reasonable speed (70+), so you shouldn't be bombing up the inside to overtake them at 85mph or whatever. Since there is "next to no traffic around" you shouldn't have any trouble at all getting over to the overtaking lane and doing things 'by the book'.

My wife is pretty bad for hogging the middle lane, but to be fair she's usually not going under the speed limit and I can see why it must get frustrating continually having to pull in and out of the slow lane for all the slow vehicles doing under 60.

Where she does go wrong however I think is when she's in the outside lane, basically if there is traffic ahead in the middle lane going slower than her, she won't pull back in, even if they are a long way in the distance and she only has a closing speed of like 3mph. Must be annoying to people behind, ideally she should pull back in to let them past and then only go back into the outside lane when she's closed up behind the middlelane traffic.

Have you considered divorce?

Oh and I find that if someone is going to pull out and cause me to stand on the brakes then it is much more likely to be some tool in an executive saloon than a "euro crapbox"

I have to say Rilot that I agree with this point; there's all sorts of examples of bad drivers on the roads, but on the motorway it does tend to be the executive saloons leading the Bad Manners crowd :)

On the contrary, how about people who speed up on purpose to block you in just so you can't pull out to overtake. They will be cruising at 80, see that you are approaching a car infront and they will speed up to 85, level with your rear wing then go back to 80 and go past you slowly as you have to brake anyway!

If they stuck to 80, I could have pulled out into the gap sped up to 80 and there wouldn't be a problem at all !

These are the worst. I'm sure they think that the daily commute is a race.

Yes, I do, often.

Usually at the top of my voice "STAY the **** there! I have no desire to kill you!"

Far too many people just indicate and pull out these days.

Too true. They seem to think as long as they are indicating, they are good to go.

Haha, yes I forgot to mention the pointing :D
