Ok who sneeks in snacks to the pictures

Birmingham Imax - "largest cinema screen in the Midlands"

BFI Imax - "The biggest screen in Britain"

Gutted for you! ;) :p

Well if size is your thing:

£16 for 20m x 26m
area = 520m2
= 32.5m2/£

VS

£10.60 for 16m x 22m
area = 352m2
= 33.2m2/£

Suck on that 0.7m2/£ difference, yo!

Regardless, screen size also relates to auditorium capacity. Brum imax seats 356, london 500. Of course the London venue is going to be bigger, it is after all, London.

Who takes a rucksack to the cinema? :confused:

And I usually only get a slushie, only so I can slurp the **** out of it at the end to annoy everyone. They're only £2 or £3.

+1 for asking "who doesn't" more than who does.

Clearly do - I went with the Mrs and 3 friends to see TF3:3D on saturday night. My Mrs and one friend has NUS but for 2 students and 3 adults it was £56. Insanity.

I'm not then going to fork out another £6.50 for pop corn and a drink. F that.

Not going to read the whole of the thread.
Personally - we never buy any food or drinks at the cinema.

We take 500ml bottles of Coke in - nice and cheap at your local supermarket.
If we're desperate for popcorn, Tesco sell a lovely "Cinema Popcorn" - not warm obviously, but tasty.
Pick & Mix - a lot cheaper at the supermarket.

There is of course no legallity regarding taking your own food in and in my own opinion, as long as you're not taking the **** (fast-food etc) then you won't be stopped.

Remember the cinema can refuse you entry to the screens if they do see you bringing your own food, although they cannot forceible check you.
However if they asked to look in a bag and you said no, then of course once again you could be refused entry - and without any kind of refund on your ticket.

So keep it sensible and you'll have no problems - but no moaning if you are refused entry, remember they don't have to let anyone into their screens.

And they wonder why people illegally download!

What??
The price of food at the cinema and the fact that they may not admit you to the screens because you're bringing food from outside in is the reason why people are illegally downloading??

No, people are illegally downlading because they are scum who feel the world owes them a living.
Will never pay for anything if there is a zero price option and don't understand how they could possibly contribute to the falling rate of film releases and quality.

It has absolutely nothing to do with their ability to snack in the screens or not.

Another typical "pirate" attempting to justify with absolutely any argument - errr, global warming mate, it's too hot to sit in a cinema so I downloadz.

Never been to an cinema where they ban food and drinks from outside, to be honest I can't fathom that they would or people thought it was "naughty" to sneak things in. lol

When I go with the family, we go to the supermarket first, but I always buy sweet popcorn at the cinema, the real stuff always testes better even if it does cost a bomb.

Stop generalising, it's making you look silly.
