***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

I'm missing 36 cars now from the Used Car Dealership but no matter how many times I reset it the 2 cars I'm specifically looking for just will not show up!!

Doesn't help that I've seen them numerous times in the past!

Anything we can help with, or are they over the 1 million limit?

I'm not sure, I've been a bit OCD with this and how I'm collecting the cars. Worth a try I suppose.

I'm only interested in cars that have never been used, not modified at all and have under 40,000 kilometers / 25,000 miles

It's quite a strict set of rules really, in-way of anyone that does take their time and meets what I'm after I'll trade you any car from the regular dealership. This means (going from my miss list) the typical car is under 40k credits and I'm willing to trade anything up to 1 million credits for a car of your choice from the normal dealership.

HONDA
N360 '67

MAZDA
RX-7 Type RS (FD, J) '96

I will update the list as I collect these last few cars.

I can give you the SKYLINE GTS-t Type M (R32) '91, with 13,985 miles, not used, and no mods if you want it.

Just add me to your friends list and it's yours!

You can have it mate. All I'm after really is a Jaguar XFR, which can't be bought.

Sent!

Thats very kind of you, thank you.

Edit: Just realised its from the Top Gear Challenge, I got this about 2 weeks ago, it was mostly down to being lucky when avoiding the computer.

I've also got a '98 LEXUS IS200 (J), unused and unmodded, with 16,108.7 miles. Can send it Tuesday if you have no luck before then.

Great, thanks a lot. I will let you know and keep my list updated.

I had a quick look regarding the Jag you're after, incase you don't know you only need to complete the third top gear test track with the Kubelwagen.

LOL:D Can't be bothered with that race, let alone golding it:D

Manual gears make it much much easier, that and just timing the gaps right, you quite often have a few of your opponents taken out at the crossover.

That is ridiculous. Some of those you will probably never find under 18k and the "never been used" bit is.. just.. :confued: and to think I've been told I have OCD :D. Have fun with that. I meanwhile am stuffing mods on just about everything

I guess you have the 370Z Academy version and the Carbon X1 and that other GT Academy one you get randomly with like.. a 0.01% chance of getting it on a 1000 ticket? I still need an organe Impreza STC too
Got the blue-bits Altezza at last but still waiting on that STC :(

Just got that Corolla in my UCD but it's.. uh.. 14660km... which is only 9109miles! :D
Did you mean km though? Hope I sent it to the right PSN :D
:D :D :D

Miles ;) When you buy a car and people check their list usually you read the miles, figured it would be easier for people. If some are looking at KM then thats about 27,000km.

My list is only based on the Used Car Dealership, I still need most of the Premium ones, my original mindset was get the Used cars first then focus on the Premium. With the Premium being a simple case of going into the regular dealership without waiting for them to appear I feel that will be a lot easier to finish off. Except for the 20 or so cars that are a bit harder to pickup.

I'm not sure about the rare cars you mention, I don't have the carbon but I'm pretty good with the X1, did that challenge months ago - I have to improve a bit but I feel I can get it eventually.

The Academy's that I have are:

Nissan GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Version) '09
Nissan GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Special)

So in regards to one of them from the ticket, I don't indeed have it. I'll log into GT5 now.

And yes I'm aware my OCD is very strange!!

edit: How do you know which car colors are Rare? I've seen some odd color cars and thought they looked different but never really bought them.

edit2: Absolutly fantastic, thanks a lot Sydney. Never really thought people would put-up with my strange OCD and help me out.

It's just a few race cars that come in various colours, the Alteza, Impreza anf FTO super touring cars being the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. You can't repaint them so you've got to get them in the different colours. The orange Impreza showed up in everyones OCD (the other kind) last week but not mine, I got a grey one and I already have one in gray and one in white and I've since had both grey and white show up a couple times in UCD but no orange or black :(
Not nice for a scooby fanboy.

Just tuned up my mp4-12c after TG last night and it's better than I expected. Interesting handling, rotates well under breaking but squirms in traction zones, possibly needs a different driving style like the NSX.

For some reason distances show up as km in my UCD even though I've got it set to MPH for speed.

Oh, I've seen a few yesterday after resetting the UCD for about 10 hours or so, next time I'll pick them up.

fwiw I have the crappy colored scoobys in the OCD too.

My UCD shows cars in KM but in the garage they show as Miles.

I'll stick a pickup in my online cars thing. Go to the profile tab then my name and then there'll be cars there and you can borrow them :)

Lethal, this 18k miles is gonna slow things down, I've had the RX-7, N360 and Carol but all way over 18k.

Yeah, I'm starting to hit an invisable wall with the older cars. I've got my list down from 36 cars to 14, 2 cars thanks to Dyson and 1 car from you also helped.

But I'm now going for any car under 40k Kilometers I saw about 5/6 yesterday around this so I should get a few more today, then tomorrow I'll probably just take any car under 80k miles.

Car sent mate, with just 393.7 miles on the clock:eek:

Thanks a lot Dyson, I saw this car 3 times yesterday all with fairely high milage.

edit: Toyota Carina ED 2.0 X 4WS (1989) found with 1383 miles

just got a karmann ghia coupe type-1 '68 with 22k miles.
a very fetching zypressengrun/togaweiss paint job.
If you'd mentioned this new limit earlier I probably could have got two or three more for you :p

Oh wow thanks Sydney.

Yeah in Hindsight I could have picked up a nice classic yesterday, It's my own fault but with perseverance I'll get there sooner or later, especially with people helping me.

I'm going through my UCD every five races anyway so it doesn't hurt to look out for them, just a pain with the 1 car a day trade limit but I'm sure we can sort this out pretty quick :)

Got an S500 with only 25k and a Carol 360 but I think it's a little over so we'll see if another turns up first :D
