Off starting my new job

Looks slightly odd but it'll save your back. As kids we lift correctly but as we get older we become lazier. Had a video about it in manual handling training :)

I bet I can guess who you work for :D

Another hard day.

Really REALLY hard day.

Two 40ft containers unloaded, then picking and sorting stuff for delivery. Tough when it's industrial stuff.

I survived.

8:30-5pm for £48. ¬_¬

It'll be tough for the first 2 weeks, after that your body will be used to it and you'll only notice on the really long days.

Back.

Well just about. Bloody hell that was a hard day! (note the extreme British understatement). Worked with one guy unloading two 40ft containers. So so tough, compounded with heat.

Then I was picking heavy items of shelfs, and helping putting them in for delivery by packaging/palleting them.

All in all, I bloody earned my £6 an hour.

Had one lunchbreak and a 10 minute gap at 3pm.

So knackered now haha. Rinse and repeat tomorrow. :( :O

Get another job?

Assuming you have a few GCSEs you could get something that pays better and doesn't involve hard physical labour.

Well, perhaps that's what you want, but it doesn't sound much like you're having fun...

This, back and general body agony. Get used to popping pain killers and sleeping lots. After about two weeks your body builds the right muscles and it just gets easy.

I got my first sort of experience in a couple of weeks, 2 weeks of c# which is going to be quite interesting. I don't even know the language yet, but I know java to a mediocre standard so it's just going to be learning syntax which ain't hard.

Programming is easy.

Programming *well* is not :p Anyone can learn syntax in a few hours, but coding takes years and years of practical application to master.

I can write the odd applet but my code is shocking, to say the least :p

Depending on where you are they may be hiring ;)

I'm going to look now...

It's only part time for university holiday soI'll survive.

Yeah, they are certainly not expecting a genius!

End of the week. \o/

One more day then the weekend!

Feeling surprisingly good today, woke up of my own volition at 7:20am, and actually feel alright.

Probably going to feel the complete opposite in half an hour :D
