And if you bothered to read the entire thread you would see that I had already commented to say I had my fair share of run-ins over the years with the not so pleasant side of the travelling community. But that does not mean I think they should be exterminated or ethnically cleansed as is being advocated in this thread.

I don't think there is anything stupid with trying to show compassion for an animal even if you put you life at risk. His heart was in the right place.
