I thought we'd already determined that the Silver Arrow probably won't fit in that case?

This is why we ask questions folks.

According to the Thermalright website the Silver Arrow is 162.7mm tall.

According to Bitfenix the Shinobi Window maximum CPU cooler height is 159.5mm and the Shinobi maximum CPU cooler height is 161.5mm.

The Silver Arrow would seem to be out of the equation, or at least it would be a very tight aqueeze.

What budget do you have for cooler, motherboard and RAM?

Do you want 4 or 8GB of RAM.

And if you're going for a big CPU cooler then lower profile RAM is a safer option.

wise decision about the cooler. :) no fitting and memory clearance problems.

Also, the SSD will be really tight for Windows. Will need to watch what junks gets put in with an eagle eye.

I would drop the 8GB to 4GB personally. but 750 should be enough for two 570. Not sure about a Lepa though.

All in all, you can get a PSU good enough for a single 570 easily (Antec HCG 620W), and when it comes to upgrade, you can sell it as it's a good unit and get a 750W XFX or 850W Lepa. That is if SLI becomes viable, and by that time, the 570 should have decreased in price to be replaced by the next gen.

lepa has some good reviews and its 80% eff and from what i read 570 in sli with other compnats sits at about 570 drawn so still a lot of power left to take

being temped by the awsome deal on the 6950 1gb at £179.99 what do you guys think of this card will it run all the new games coming out like gf3 mw3 and guildwars 2 planetside 2

at max settings

cos i could maybe get a better ssd with the £40 saved on the gfx card or is the 570 £40 better ?

it is around 161 mm could you check on your case and see if you have this amount of room ? cos i have heard things from toehr people saying they can sit a nocutra d14 in it also :)

thanks

any thoughs on the 570 gtx swap out for a 6950

The Noctua NH-D14 is 160mm and the Silver Arrow is 162.7mm.

This information is from the manufacturer's websites.

The Shinobi Window maximum CPU cooler height is 159.5mm. Again from the manufacturer's website.

You might just squeeze the Noctua NH-D14 in there but the case side pannel would foul on the Silver Arrow.
