Looking to get broadband in a new flat, recommend me a good provider!

Requirements:
at least 40gig download)
Download isn't very unstable and suddenly stop working
Costs <£30 per month (including line rental- is this required?).

Check your what speeds are available in your new flat. I moved from 'upto 20Mb' to 'upto 5mb' I hate my new flat lol.

If you used SamKnows you could tell us which providers and what services are available then people could give you more meaningful feedback.

My only comment is don't get Sky Connect it sucks.

O2 Broadband are great if you can get the up to 20Mb service, been with them in the past and will shortly be moving house and going with them again.

However where I currently live is outside of their core broadband services, so we tried their O2 Access package (Up to 8Mb) and it was shockinly bad. The customer service was great but the connection itself was really bad, gaming was impossible on it during peak times. I ended up cancelling and going with ADSL24, been with them for 2 years now and they've been great.

So:

Cable area - Virgin
Non cable up to 20Mb area - O2 or Be
Up to 8Mb area - ADSL24 get my vote

Hi,

Just wanted to double check here is the samknows details:

The following services are available in your location:

BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
BT Wholesale WBC (21CN)
BT Wholesale SDSL
AOL LLU
O2 / Be LLU
Bulldog LLU
TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
Tiscali LLU
Orange LLU (Formerly Wanadoo)

You are connected to the Kingswood telephone exchange.

ADSL is available in your area
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL Max services
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL2+ services
According to BT Wholesale, your phone line should be able to support

up to 1Mbps via ADSL
2Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max
2.5Mbps or greater via ADSL2+

Standard ADSL RAG results
You cannot receive 2Mbps ADSL
You may be able to receive 1Mbps ADSL
You can receive 512kbps ADSL
You can receive 256kbps ADSL

Any reccomdations, checked ADSL24 and seems a bit pricey.

Those LLU look the best option. Don't go ADSL Max if you can go LLU.

If you will be having Sky TV installed then Sky LLU Broadband might be an option.
