You run to the first tower, then go down the steps and under it to the second tower, then (as said) time your run on the last stretch and just stop out of reach at the end.

never take it off mate, its been a life saver especially when coming up against those bloody wolves. :D

Must get a good whack at it tonight.

My internet was playing up last night and when it goes down the game takes you back to the main screen (cant beleive it does that) happened about 4 times. Go so far through a level and wooosh all souls gone :mad:

Had to take it out and play a bit of ME2 instead.
 
I bought a PS3 again today just for this game. I still had Demon's Souls US release at home and some spare cash in hand so I impulse bought a lovely slim.

So it has the distinction of making me buy the same console and the same game - twice. Dark Souls can't come soon enough.

Ok So I had put this game down for a while because I had been neglecting ME2.

Picked it up again last night and I was in 1-3, I eventually got passed the part with the Dragon, I had to take off most of my Armor so I could run pretty fast then, stood beside the cart with my shield up, then ran past both Blue nights up the stairs, got armor back on went back down stairs and killed all (Quite proud of that actually).

Was going along quite nicely and didn't realize I was actually at the "Tower Knight"!!!

That guy is HUGE!!..... but surprisingly not that hard to beat, I was in mortal form as the Knight, I just ran round to his feet sword in both hands an whacked away at him (using sticky white stuff). Didnt take that long to kill him, had plenty of herbs and his shield is a major pain in the ass when you get that smacked against your face.........well proud :D.

I decided to take a walk over to 4-1..........big mistake the first skeleton is sooooo powerful two swipes and I was brown bread.

I take it you need to be seriously leveled up for 4-1?????

Ohhhh you mean the back stab, just aint quite perfected that, can you actually Kill the Skeleton with one back stab?? cause that would be cool.

Need to get that back stab perfected, just never seem to get close enough or it just dose'nt seem work for me :(
 
You don't need to level up that much, it's best to come back when you have better equipment. You can get a good sword in 4-1 but it's guarded by a red eye skeleton who can be tough to deal with if you're low level, the sword makes mince meat of them though.
 
nono not one hit, i mean you just can't rush into them and trade damage heh as you now know, dodge jump n roll n hit. practise using the blue eye knights at the start of 1-3 naked with fists, you'll die a lot and maybe shift the world to black a bit more but it's good combat practise i found.
 
I think I will sort out that Armor spider dude first. I got the Shortbow and upgraded it to +1 and I also have the soul arrow. Should knock the seven bells out of it.....(Ihope lol).

Yea think I need to level up a lot more and maybe find more powerful wepons.

Seriously could'nt get over how powerful AND fast that Skeleton was and he was the first dude in that level!!!!! Wont be going near 4-1 for a looonnnggg while lol.
 
yeah i avoided 4-1 for quite awile, playing it offline and died a lot on purpose so it's now pure black and there's some black phantom dude right near the first skelly. my rouge/sorcerer blue blood sword luck build, in the level 100's can't beat him, not cos he's that overly powerful it's the AI he's got is sooo good :) feels like i'm fighting a good invader BP gonna need a different strategy i think, and more luck hehe
 
I think after I defeat the armor spider I will trot around the pervious levels until I get a little bit more powerful, have no idea were I will get some powerful weapons out of any suggestions????

I did find the Kris blade but your magic needs to be up to 16, no were near that :(

The only reason I even dared go near 4-1 is because I heard you get the Talisman there for my heal miracle power....... **** that, it can wait lol.
 
The skellys are week to fire so you can also try to buff a weapon with turps or use a fire spell.

Lock on to a skelly with the thief's ring equipped, cast, roll back, cast again and again.

There are 6 to get passed before you can get the talisman, then you can easily kill the red eye one (cheap way) to get the Crescent Falchion +1, plus you'll get a load of souls early on.
 
I think the fear and total ass kicking I got from 4-1 from that one Skeleton will kweep me at bay for a while lol, and after what KATOOM stated that there are around 6 to pass before I get the Talisman, pfffffffttt it can wait.

I still have the Armor spider in 2-2 to deal with and I have'nt even gone near 3-1.

Soooooooo I will do all that first before I face (gulp) 4-1 lol.

But cheers for the advise I will need it at some stage..........just not now lol
 
You can get a Talisman in 5-1, It's near the beginning, you have to push a plank to make a bridge onto a platform and it's there guarded by an enemy. Might be something to think about rather than going to 4-1.
