A guy has been shot and slashed with a machete

I used to be a moderator on a baby forum where people who had babies due in the same month could post and chat to each other, and there was a girl on there who had a baby due. She chatted to all the mums during her pregnancy, posted her scan pictures, asked questions, excitedly posted her birth story etc.

about a year later the baby died. everyone sent flowers, and was gutted for her. some chatted to her for hours online, and on skype.

she continued to post and had another pregnancy. sadly ended in miscarriage. she had been posting for arounf 3 years by this point.

a few of the moderators got a bit suspicious of her, and did some internet detective work and found out there was no record of a birth or death of a baby in her area around the time she said. after finding a landline number for her they called the house, to be told that she was actually a 17 year old girl who had gotten a bit bored and created a profile for "fun".

I just dont know why anyone would make up things on the internet, its just pathetic!

I am sorry, but i have heard this story on this very forum before.

I think it was by knip maybe but not sure.
 
Do you blame the guy for not posting again? Why would he? Everyone calling him a lier etc, so would he bother.

Also the stains on the bandage looks real enough to me, there is even a little bit were it has clearly been there a for a number of hours and has stained into the bandage its self.

Yeah but liers wouldnt go back because what if they slip up and tell the story wrong etc. They could get a bit of info that doesnt quite make sense. I mean theres a picture of a cut next to his ear that looks like it has just been stitched up as well so why didnt he mention anything to that. Theres a lot of things that dont make sense in the story that lead people to think its BS. If he came back and answered the questions then it would be more believable.

Talk BS in real life - people nod and smile then walk away, they may tell jokes about you to their friends.

Talk BS on the internet - people dissect your post, your old posts, find other accounts even contact you, your family or your friends to find out more about you and 'out you' as a fake.

Not trying to say either is more normal than the other, not judging.
 
Reminds me of that documentry/film about the guy who starts chatting to supposed family and gets romantical involved with one over the phone then goes down to see them turns out to be an old woman who wanted some attention. Freaky.

Machete = Pen Knife

With the wounds shown id say, Hospital stay would have been at Least 3 or 4 days......
Nasty story though id be good to see if this was in a local news paper to read there accounts, Also doesn't mention if the bad guys got caught?

So What are you exactly saying, that Nat retold somebody elses story?
Knowing the job that Nat does makes it 99.9999% likely that she saw the story first hand just like Knip.
Or are you saying once a story has been told it can't be told again?
I'd be buggered.
