If you are referring to me then I used "Weather & Clock Widget" then h7c skin for clock and h7c skin for weather.


Now I am not sure how legal those skins are but I kinda followed this youtube video below + my google skills to find the skins.

 
Thanks, looks good. My other half misses the Sense clock and weather and also wants it for her mum's Xperia Arc so thanks. :)
 
I choose VillainROM, it sticks to Samsung's ROM implementation, is minimal and has excellent VRTweaks tool for customisation.

Oh yeah, it's used by me, so must be good :p
 
You mean the camcorder mod? It's separate but sound recording in general seems fine for me using Samsung's voice recorder app.
 
Sorry to be a pain chaps, which one of the options do I need to get gmail to receive my ntlworld emails, 2nd or 4th?

Well import will just download any already read emails from your account so do that first and then set up the POP3 details in the 2nd question mark section so that Gmail checks your Ntlworld email for new mails.

I have my NTLWorld email autoforwarding to my gmail though as that's another way to do it. Set that up from Virgin media's web mail area.

Cheers robbie. Tbh, I don't think I need all my emails downloaded to my phone, so maybe I can skip that part and go straight to part 2.
 
Is there a way to change the default font without downloading an app? I'm just wondering as my phone came with a very weird KE1 build that couldn't be updated without Odin, had a 'strange' splash screen, couldn't see any other KE1 kernels anywhere and my default font was different to my other half's SGS2 which came with KE3.

I've moved to VillainROM 2.1 now and I still have the same font (default gingerbread). She reckons she didn't change hers though and I can't see anywhere she could have. Hers looks more like the iPhone font.

Do you have the yellow triangle on boot? If not how did you get rid of it, as its the only ROM so far, I have tried that I can't change it.

However, I did only try a fresh installation of 2.1

SETUP -> DISPLAY -> SCREEN DISPLAY -> FONT STYLE :)

You only need to remove the triangle once, follow Pulser's link instructions via CWM and that's it. Every time you update ROM via CWM or kernel it will not bring back the triangle.
 
I cant see the point of clock widgets, i really cant. perhaps if the notification bar didnt already tell me the time then it might be more useful, but honestly that would literally big the hell out of me knowing that the time is there on the screen twice.
