Indeed. If it was a far right attack, why? Why target children? The propaganda war is just as important as the physical war. Any propaganda one might hope to achieve from the attack will be negated by attacking children. It'll just push people further to the left while allowing the left to enforce draconian laws favoured by the right.

I would imagine they were targeting the politicians, not the kids (just look at who got injured in the Jared Lee Loughner shooting).

But if the gunman was dressed as a policeman, he could have gotten right up beside the politicians. Randomly firing into crowds of kids doesn't make sense unless you were simply killing for the sake of killing.

Like I said early on that we can't jump to conclusion as soon as we see media coverage. Still give it some time until the situation becomes more clearer.

It doesn't have the hallmarks of Al Qaeda imo (as someone who's studied them a fair bit). AQ attacks now tend to use 'swarming' and one guy dressed as a policeman with a handgun doesn't really sound like that.
