None of us have been on crack cocaine. It's pretty obvious though that once it gets a hold, it is extremely difficult to give it up, so those saying she had a choice, well, that is debatable. I'm sure it's a LOT more difficult than quitting cigarettes or alcohol. That waste of space husband of hers, Blake, if it weren't for him she'd probably be alive still. On the other hand, if it weren't for the drugs, she may not have had the same success.
Could you be any more of an *beep*
Didn't she go to rehab numerous times? Obviously unsuccessfully but she had tried get help. The addiction was clearly too much. She had a choice to go to rehab and, as the song goes, she said no no no.
In more important news just found out a local rock pub landlord died 2 hours ago with a heart attack.
RIP Quilpy - I'm gutted.
People earn respect, Amy Winehouse did little or nothing to earn respect in life, I find it very difficult to give her any simply because she died.
They would be doing a lot of people a favour (like Amy Winehouse) if they stopped them getting away with it.
What, like Winehouse wasn't showing contempt for life in the way she lived her life and treated her body?

Cool, let's all search the web for something tragic that's happened in life & then post it here, to show how the fact that a young woman has died (irrespective of how) doesn't matter at all!![]()
Indeed. It sends out the wrong message and is quite frankly unfair that "Dave" gets nicked for having weed on him, yet people such as Amy Winehouse can/could get away with it.
In other words, you can flaunt a whole lotta laws if you have money/fame.
What has earning respect got do to with mocking her death. Yes we all know this was bound to happen etc but thats no excuse to insult someone hours within their death. No ones asking you to respect her anymore now thats she's dead. Maybe just a show some sympathy to her family/friends.
Just good british manners..
