Amy Winehouse found dead

I guess people post about celebrity deaths as they may see some sort of personal connection to them. I'm guessing she loved her music, which is quite an emotion.

To be blunt Norway was the death of a bunch of people you never knew existed, and as such, not everyone is going to want to post on Facebook about it?

Saying that, her reply is borderline retard.

Some kid in Africa has just died...,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,and another,

In my experiences, most people who follow celebrities as if they are some kind of personal friend are borderline retard which might explain their post (is it called a post if its on facebook? I'm not up to speed on these things)

Oh well, each to their own. Personally I think just about any waste of life is tragic, whether self induced or not.

Anyway, you know what they say about arguing on the internet ;), and I'm no keyboard warrior, so goodnight all - I'm going to drink some cider in the last of the sunshine!

Again some how youve bought it back to yourself "I suggest you get over it as frankly I will not change my opinion on it." its not all about you, no ones trying to change your opinion. If you want to support comments such as "glad the **** is dead" thats your decision. And if you find that humerous, poor you.

Post #48:

Some really disturbed posters here in GD. Should be ashamed of yourselves making jokes over the very very recent death of someone.

which was 5 posts prior to Tank's somewhat poorly worded contribution, no-one prior to your post denigrating those who had posted has said anything like "glad the **** is dead".

My post disagreeing with you was also prior to any such post at #51, whereby I said:

Why?

British irreverent humour. Like playing Monty Python at a funeral.

Everytime someone famous dies there are jokes based on the life and death of that person, it doesn't make anyone disturbed, it is just black humour, that is all.

So I suggest you get your facts all in a row before judging what I was and was not defending and what I consider humour and what I do not. I find it very difficult to care about someone who so obviously didn't care about herself despite having every opportunity and advantage.

- No sympathy for Amy Winehouse, she was a drug user and an alcoholic she didn't care for her family's love and refused Help -

Her reply

YOU MEN ARE ALL THE SAME, I THOUGHT BETTER OF YOU, YOU DON'T KNOW HER. SHE LOVED HER FAMILY and Didn't know what she was going through.

I guess she really knew her eh? Pathetic.

Agreed on the first point. I feel more emotion over Winehouse than Norway simply as I loved her music. Doesn't mean I'd denounce Norway as not worthy of my time, although according to some here my lack of going to the extreme effort of typing RIP in a thread means that is the case.

I believe her first writing will have been a status update, then her reply is called a post. I have no idea on the official terminology, couldn't really call it a status update within a status update lol.

I'm sorry to see her go as I thought she was one of our brightest talents & a Fantastic singer.

R.I.P Amy :(
