Sorry if this topic is raised somewhere else on the forum but I looked thoroughly and could not find an answer to my issue anywhere. I purchased a H70 and used the stock fans for a while and powered these using the 3 pin onboard fan power sockets and these worked but were very noisy at high speeds. I have recently upgraded to the gentle typoon 4250rpm fans but I cannot get either to power using the onboard fan sockets. I have used both the Y split cable and individually but same issue arises neither fan will spin. If I use the 4 pin molex connectors they spin so fast it's like being at heathrow airport. I need to get them powered preferably by the 3 or 4 pin onboard sockets so I can control the speeds of the fans. I have used the bios to manually power them without luck. I am using an Asus board with on i7 970 processor. Any help getting these powered would be appreciated. I have just ordered a fan controller but these us the 3 or 4 pin onboard fan socket cables.
As long as i can use these fans with low noise and good performance I will be happy.
I appreciate ANY help anyone can give.
Thanks
