just curious how long can you go before needing a drink of anything?, i may test my self and see ,ive not been been that thirsty much and its summer :o

I'm quite weird with drinks, during the day I drink far less than I really should usually, but at night I seem to turn into a fish!

yeh, before you start to gasp for one, 3 days is good , but if you have drank a lot already through you're life surely that's the reason for it

Not long at all always like to have a drink now and again. Always have a pint of water with meals and always take at least a pint of water to bed with me.

Just think in terms of threes, without serious permanent problems/death occurring you can generally assume three minutes without air, three days without water and three weeks without food.

It depends what sort of food you are eating at the same time.
Can't really say it's a good idea though, best not to go without hydration if you can get away with it though.

To truly go without water you would also have to go without food.

After about 3 days you will begin to suffer serious dehydration, tiredness, headaches and confusion, along with vomiting and elevated heart-rate. After 5-7 days you will suffer from hallucinations, broken skin, lesions, increased vomiting and the inability to absorb water even if you had any due to changes in your body chemistry.

A lot depends on the ambient conditions, your general build, health and age.

The answer is you can survive for between 12 hours and 12 days without water depending upon those conditions.

Do not do something as stupid as testing the concept either, by the time you realise that you are in a state of serious dehydration you may well find yourself unable to remedy the situation due to any number of the above mentioned complications.

Yeah I would have thought about 2 days, stretching to 3 days max.

Going without water for a very long time is indeed going to cause havoc on the body.

This is amazing
